Post in Multi-Character Threads...
To keep things moving and to be fair to everyone, if you are in a thread with 3 or more characters and have not posted in 3 days, the person following you should go ahead and post, assuming that you have some reason that is holding you up and may not be back for awhile. This will give you ample time until your next turn is up and the game can continue.

Please let me know is this is okay with everyone...thoughts...?

Same here, Ally! Thing is, I'd rather people go ahead and keep posting and then I wouldn' feel so bad if for some reason I were held up by sickness or family emergency, etc.

As long as the skipping doesn't get out of hand, I guess it'll be fine.

Considering days seem to last... what? Two weeks? This isn't such a bad idea. Except that... yeah... It could get out of hand. What if one character is skipped so much that they're pushed out of the thread?

Also...

Let's say that each character is represented by a number in the posting order and there are three people for this example.

People 1, 2, and 3 post. Then person 1 posts. Three days go by and no post from person 2. So... person 3 goes ahead and posts. Should person 1 post after that, or should three more days be given to allow person 2 to post? Or, if person 2 returns right after person 3 posted, should they wait for person 1 to post, or post after person 3 posted? Would this change the posting order?

There are some things to look into with this.
