"Mhm," Eliza answered his question, with a nod and curt smile. The word okay had so many connotations; she was certain one of them had to fit her current situation. "Oh, I don't know what time it is." She looked around the room for a clock but couldn't see one. "It can't be that late. Must still be morning."
She brushed off his apology about the wings. "I suppose I shouldn't have been that surprised. It was must...startling, I guess." Eliza shrugged and laughed a little. "It's not every day you see a guy with big wings."
Eliza stood up again and walked around the room a little bit. She felt a little awkward about this whole conversation. "Well, it wasn't just me. Alex and Cody helped. In fact, they did most of the heavy lifting, I was just there for decoration." She looked over her shoulder and smiled at him before turning back to the mirror to mess with her hair some more. "So, want to find something to eat?"
