Nate's adrenaline was shooting all over the place and then he had nowhere to release it; he turned to the bed and crossed his arms...he was trying his best not to grin. He'd forgotten that Niki had held her puppy form for quite a long time yesterday and would be feeling a bit of a hangover from it today. What a terrible time for her physical.

Cocking an eyebrow, Nate finally gave in to a grin and chuckled,"Don't you be concerned about the color of my knickers, you little monkey!". Then he lept on the bed between Niki and Pavla and gave them both an equal share of tickle torture. When he was satisfied that they had had enough, he fell back on the bed between them, kissing Pavla on the head and rubbling Niki's back.

Twirling a lock of Pavla's black hair around his finger, Nate whispered, "We'll talk about these bad dreams later baby, okay?".

Turning to Niki, the tall, lanky captain put an arm around her and hugged her close, "I know you don't want to get your physical, luv, but we all have to get one. It's for the best", he tapped her nose with his forefinger,"We travel all over the world and are exposed to so many things...", he looked serious for a moment, ",,,there are even rumors that some governmens are developing viruses that only attack persons with mutant genes". He lifted her up and carriedher to the door. "Sweetheart, I would never have you do anything that would hurt you, you know that. I love you and your brother. Alex had his physical already and he's still in one piece". He kissed Niki on the head and set her down, opening the door, "I know the Doc is a bit on the creepy side, but he's a great Doc...he can't help his creepiness, honey", he slipped the extra key out of her hand and gave her a playful pat on the butt, "Go on now, pretty puppy. Get your physical like a good girl. Love you!". He kissed her on the cheek and closed the door.
