TUESDAY
Who: The Captain and Everyone
Where: "The War Room" (doubles as The Entertainment Room)
Why: Quick Meeting about the Mission

The Captain, wearing a grey muscle shirt and turquoise board shorts, was waiting at the head of the long, black polished oak table as the crew members who were participating in the diamond heist filed into the ‘War Room’.

“Have a seat everyone. I know that you’re all itching to get out there to Hawaii and get lei’ed, but this is necessary and I’ll be as brief as possible”. He pressed a button on his end of the table and the wall opened, revealing a large screen, “Oh…and, sorry about the pun, couldn’t resist”.

Removing a small remote from the table, the captain dimmed the lights in the room and activated the screen…the island of Oahu came into view in brilliant color, first as a satellite view of the entire island… “This is Waikiki Beach our target for play and for the heist”, the visual zoomed in on Waikiki in all it’s sanded, bikinied splendor… “and this is Kailua Bay, across the narrow stretch of the island from Waikiki…we will be docking there”, the screen mimicked a journey from Waikiki Beach to Kailua Bay.

“Now, here is the main target…Garritt De Vries’ *De Vries’Diamond Head* Hotel & Casino Complex”, Nate pointed out, quite proud that he had such information. First visuals were of the exterior of the building and then they faded into 3 dimensional cutaway blueprints.

“Hotel front lobby. Niki, this is where you will be doing your adorable puppy act.”, he pointed to the lobby and gave the cute blonde girl a wink and a smile.

“Okay…main generator. Look tasty, Arlen?”, he teased, “Once you take that out. Join with Mags or me, whoever is closer.

The mockup went deeper and deeper down into the complex until it showed a vast vault door opening and a mechanism moving forward and stopping beneath what looked like a high-tech dumbwaiter. In the center of the mechanism stood the diamond, large as a pineapple, perfect in it’s clarity…breathtaking.

“This is our objective. Mags, you will take out all obstacles in corridors here…here…here…and here…and make sure you get Serena and Pavla to this point. He smiled over at the three… “What a trio. I pity anyone who gets in the way”. He turned back to the screen, pointing to some mechanisms near the vault, the dumbwaiter and around the diamond itself… “Serena, I need your skills here. Make sure nothing happens that sends that diamond skittering back into the vault, okay?”. He gave Pavla a little wink, filled with more intimacy than the others seated there knew. “Pavla, I need you to move swiftly. Get your hands on that diamond as quickly as you can…we are talking about a very small window of time here guys”.

Pointing to an area with several corridors and rooms that intersected with all the others, Nate looked at Bengal and smiled, “This is going to be our playing field, mate. Think you’re up to it?”, he poked the feral’s ego good-naturedly. “We need to keep the guards and any other dangerous personnel away from the others…”, he gave Bengal a pointed look, “…and no unnecessary casualties, Drake…okay?”.

The exterior of the hotel/casino complex once again came into view and Nate pointed out an area… “Alex, you will wait here for Pavla to pass you the diamond. Then you will head directly to the ship with it”, his dark eyes connected with Alex’s green one’s, “I’m counting on you”. He took a deep breath and turned off the screen and the wall once again closed itself to cover it…he looked over the table, “Doc, I’ll need you here and ready for any casualties. Vivvy", he turned to the woman who was his right arm and more, "could you help Doc Jordan round up some volunteers?”.

Nate leaned forward supporting himself on the table and took on a very serious expression. “There is one more thing that needs saying. I know that we are somewhat like modern day pirates and that we have all manner of wealth in our cargo holds, but to me, the most valuable thing this ship carries is you! I don’t want any of you taking any unnecessary risks or putting yourselves in danger. If something goes wrong or if it looks like you may be hurt, leave…scratch the mission…come back. No one will think ill of you…you have my word on that. The only two in any danger should be Drake and I and Drake is a natural healer, so he’s truly in no danger”, looking once more at the feral mutant, the captain shrugged his shoulders and continued, “Some of you may think I sound a little sappy…a little Mr. Rogers…but, I’m serious here…your lives mean more to me than anything else…got it?”.

After his little safety speech, Nate’s expression eased up a bit and he took a seat, leaned back and asked, “Does anyone have any questions? We can get the questions all answered and then the rest of the day is yours, guys”.

Serena stood near the door, leaning on the wall. Her arms were crossed as she listened to the Captain give his spiel. When her part in the heist came up, she straightened and nodded her assent to him. "Absolutely!" She saluted him smartly and grinned.

When he was finished, she waited for questions. She didn't have any of her own, but she wanted to hear what other people might ask. She wasn't so sure she wanted to work with Pavla, since he hadn't been on board long and they hadn't worked together before. But, she supposed she needed to give him a chance.

Kesh just smirked at his assignment. No spec'd methods, just a goal. Just the type of "orders" he could follow without minding. Take out generator... then lay some hurt on opposition. Yup, he was good with this plan.

Then the captain had to go warm and fuzzy and Kesh's eyes rolled some, though he fought to not have it seen. Ya, ya... concern for crew and what not, whatever. As Kesh looked around the room he could only think to himself that there were those he would go out of his way to protect. Damn, time around them and the captain was making him squishy too.

Bengal’s eye’s studied each face in the room as the captain briefly touched on their part in the mission; he was weighing their measure…the beast within him was deciding their worth. He was also grinning at Pavla, who was no bird at all, but a fop…a dress wearing dandy. He all but leered at the captain as he spoke…he was so proud that his boy followed in his perverted footsteps at least to a small degree.

As the images on the screen changed from one scene to another, Drake’s eyes changed from one female’s breasts to another’s, “A wet tee shirt contest! That’s the thing! I wonder if the captain would back me up? Line up all the birds in the crew wearing tee shirts and hose them down! Crikey, I’m getting’ a stiffey just thinkin’ about it”, he mused until he heard his name. He cocked an eyebrow and gave the captain a crooked grin.

When the captain gave his speech about how important his crew was to him, Drake mumbled low, “Ugh, I hate this bloody warm and fuzzy stuff. Let’s just bugger each other and be done”.

Drake’s hazel eyes seemed to light up when questions were called for…he cracked his knuckles and asked, “Define unnecessary casualty, Cap’n Nate”.

Nikita bounced in her seat a little as the meeting started. She canted her head to the side, watching the show before her. When her name was spoken, she nodded and gave a grin to Nate. She could do this. It wouldn't be all that bad, at least she hoped.

She glanced over as Drake spoke, and smirked a little. "I think he means that if at all possible, don't kill them." She shrugged her shoulders. She didn't mind the warm and fuzzy stuff. The warm and fuzzy stuff kept them alive, and for that she was thankful.

She slid her blue gaze over to her brother, poking him in the side. He'd be fine, she knew that, and knew that if anyone was capable of getting the diamond back safely it was him. Unless he got distracted by a pretty face...then all bets were off.

She looked back at Nate, "What happens if I can't get away from Garritt De Vries?" It was something she'd wondered about since he'd posted their jobs. "And at what point and time should I try to get away?"

The show was pretty at least. Well thought out, took some hacking, the Captain should be really proud of himself. He listened to what everyone was doing. The most danger was at the hands of the men, typical. Well, that's what it sounded like to him anyways. Not that he had issues with that, no not at all.

Then the speech came and he had to smirk. Chuckling a little he looked around the room, "I'd have to agree with the captain, just don't get hurt." He gave a wink at the Lieutenant, "I'll just need a few extra hands, if they all get hurt then we're all fucked anyway." He lifted a shoulder.

He really wanted a smoke right now. Dim lights, a pretty show and then orders. Yeah, a smoke would be nice. His gaze flicked to Drake, a small smirk playing over his lips. Then his gaze shifted to the others, Nikita had questions. He had figured she would, after all she had a tough job to do. He wouldn't want to be in her shoes at all. Then again, Kesh had a lot of energy to swallow, it made him wonder if the man's shield could take it all. He would be hell to work on if it didn't damage his shield to where the doctor could get to the basics. Bengal and the Captain, he figured he wouldn't have to worry about them much at all. Nor Monkey or Boomer needed his concern.

Viv wasn't in the best mood. They'd landed, and now she was in Hawaii for two days. She should be stoked. But she was a little irritated. Nate always made the current heist seem like it was okay because they were stealing from people who deserved it, but it was the principle of the thing. She sat at the far end of the table and watched the show. She sighed heavily a few times. Nate knew she was irritated, but he didn't appear to care.

She sat back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. A very standoffish posture. She glared at Pavla, the thief that Nate seemed to be taking a strong liking to. She was even more irritated that he'd taken on the shadow mutant. He'd snuck onto their ship, stolen things and then tried to get away with it. Instead of punishing him, he was probably fucking him. She sighed again, nodding at Nate's request to round up a few helpers for the Doc. But at the mention of the Doc, she looked over at him.

Catching his eye, she lifted a brow, then looked back at the presentation. When it was over, she stood up and headed out before anyone else. She didn't want to stick around any longer than she had to. She gave Nate one more glance before she disappeared through the door. She counted Nate as one of her good friends, but sometimes she hated him.

Alex swatted at Nikita's hand, and shot a look over at his sister. His look melted into a smile and then a wink at her. He couldn't help it, he loved her dearly. He rolled his shoulders, canting his head to the side much like his sister and listened as his name was spoken.

He nodded his head to the Captain before giving a nod over to Pavla and a quick smile. "No worries, Captain. All will go according to plan." He nodded, and then listened as Nikita asked her questions. He knew how scared she was about the mission, about what she'd have to do. Reaching over he placed his hand on her leg and giving her thigh a gentle squeeze.

He nodded at Doc, "Don't plan on it really." He watched Vivvy as she left, and shook his head with a slight sigh. He removed his hand from his sister's leg and reached up to rub his temple. He couldn't wait to get out onto the beach, or to at least get a little sun before they did the job. He knew that he wouldn't sleep well that night, so it was important to him to get a little rest and relaxation before the job.

Magdeline paid close attention to the structure of the building. If anything was to go wrong she had to figure out a way to get out of there without making the building collapse around them all. If that would be left up to her. She was sure that nothing bad would happen, she hoped at least. If they needed to get out she would have to have time to study the structure so she would know what walls supported the main frame and all that, or pillars, whatever. She wasn't too used to many floored buildings.

She smirked at Nikita's comment and questions, glancing at Bengal. She then watched Vivvy leave and frowned, worried that she was really pissed and if the captain would die tonight by her hands. She then rolled her eyes at the other commentary and looked back at the captain. "Is there a plan B?" There had to be a plan B in his head right? Maybe? She could only hope?
