Monday
Who? Alex and OTA
What? Meeting new people, seeing old faces, Alex is up for anything
When? Late afternoon; Monday
Where? Ship, of course, roaming the halls at a quite normal pace

Alex had kept to himself for the past couple of days. Touring Paris had been fun, he'd visited most of the city in a matter of moments, and then it was time to slow down and...smell the roses. He'd visited some of the museums, and just took in the culture. Slowly of course. No reason to rush such things. Then, he'd ran out a little bit before the ship left to grab a quick meal at one of the best cafes he'd come across. Of course he had to run back to the ship before it left because he started chatting up a waitress there, even though he didn't speak French.

Now, Alex was wandering the hallways, just wandering around with no particular destination in mind. His hands were shoved down into the pockets of a pair of ratty, low slung, baggy jeans. He wore a fitted cream colored thermal on top of those to stave off the cold and damp of the rain. He hummed softly as he walked, two white buds placed into his ears and his iPod on shuffle. Well, it really wasn't his per se, but he'd seen fit to skim it off a tourist about a year ago so now it was technically his.

Pulling a hand out of his pocket, he tapped his fingers on his leg in time with the music, humming softly still. Most of the tracks on the iPod were hard rock, or classic rock. There was some rap, dance music of course for the days he felt like dancing around. Then, there were the love songs. He had everything from cheesy love songs, to classic love songs. "Unforgettable", "Unchained Melody", and a ton more were on his iPod. His favorite, out of all of those classic love songs was "At Last" by Etta James. His mother used to sing it to him when he was a child. Really all she ever sung were love songs, and it was one of the main reasons he loved them so much.

However, right now no love song was sounding into his ears, "Falling On" by Finger Eleven was playing. He followed the bend of the hallway, still humming softly and tapping his fingers against the worn denim of his pants. He thought for a moment, wondering if anyone would be in the galley. He didn't really want to go bother Mag, just in case she might be busy finishing up with the aftermath of the dinner crowd. He was playing one of his games with his sister and Mag, but it was starting to wear thin. He didn't really have many friends outside the two of them, and they were the best bet for some sort of entertainment. He shook his head, and started away from the galley. They still needed another night to wonder if he was alive or not. Or even on the ship for that matter. He chuckled softly to himself as he continued on his afternoon stroll.

Viv loved the rain. She would stand out in it for hours. She knew the consequences, and she had often had to nurse herself on chicken soup and layers of blankets afterwards. But she didn't care. She loved nature in all of her elements. Lightning was her one true love, however. But this light rain that was falling wasn't going to lend itself to an electrical storm. She stood in the doorway, a light wind blowing through the hair she'd chosen to leave down for once, leaning against the frame. Rain was so refreshing and clean. It felt that way anyway.

She heard feet on the floorboards behind her and turned to find Alexander walking her way. She smiled and nodded her head to him in greeting. "Good afternoon." Viv wasn't ever really one for words. Mostly because she sucked at making normal conversation with people. She couldn't ever seem to make the words she spoke seem unabrasive. Everything was fact to her, and she didn't see a reason to sugar coat anything. She spoke her mind, and more often than not, she offended someone. She knew that she had quite a few people who didn't enjoy her company for that reason. But there were also a few who seemed to stand it.

"Did you enjoy your time in Paris?" His sister and her friend might not have seen him around, but when she and Bengal had been out shopping, she'd seen the flash of color blur in front of her eyes more than once. She knew that Alex loved his power, and loved to show it off, so it hadn't surprised her to see the way people did a double-take or watched in awe as he quickly passed them. With the buds in his ears, Viv couldn't be sure he heard her, but she waited for a response just in case.

Alex smiled at the Lieutenant, and came up to stand beside her in the doorway. His music wasn't all that loud, just loud enough for him to hear it but not loud enough to keep him from hearing others around him. He pulled the buds from his ears, and draped the wires around the back of his neck. Pushing stop on his player he looked over at Vivvy. "Afternoon yourself, Lieutenant." He gave her another smile, and looked back out at the rain.

He nodded, "Yes, I did. Saw a couple museums, actually got to get into the Louvre. You know, the Mona Lisa was different than I thought it'd be." He shrugged his shoulders, "Saw the Notre Dame cathedral, and the Arc de Triomphe. The Catacombs were cool too, although I did slow down to see them...I didn't know where I was going and it'd be just my luck that I'd run smack dab into a wall and knock myself out." His words were quick, but easy enough to understand. He tried to control the speed of his voice when around others, since it had a tendency to move as fast as he did and he actually liked for people to understand him. The only time it really got out of control was when he was overly excited. Then no one really understood him, and he had to calm himself down so that he could speak at a normal pace.

"What about you? Did you enjoy your time in Paris? Saw you a couple of times, but didn't stop because you had company." He leaned against the doorway, and ran a hand through his hair to push it back out of his face. Shoving his hand down in his pocket he looked out at the rain, and thought for a moment. "Can't wait to get to Hawaii. Relax on the beach for a little bit, get a little sun...burned." He looked over at her and grinned. He couldn't help but be a little playful, it was part of his nature and he wanted to see Vivvy smile again.

There was nothing better than a woman's smile, in Alex's opinion. He loved making people smile, he loved seeing people happy, and he could spot a fake smile from a mile away. And that would make him try even harder to get a genuine smile from someone. Of course, Alex had no idea about the job that was going to be pulled in Hawaii. And truth be told, he didn't care too much for the heists either. He wanted to live as straight and narrow as he possibly could. Then again, that proved to be hard with the crew he found himself with.

Vivvy listened to the rapid fire of his words and made them out easily enough. Good thing the mind worked faster than the mouth. At least in most cases. She nodded as he explained where he'd been and what he'd done with his time in Paris. He'd been a real tourist. Not like herself, one who'd gone out solely for business purposes.

"Yes, I had a good enough time. I accomplished the things I set out to accomplish. All in all, it was a good day." She smiled lightly. She'd had to control Drake the whole time, but she didn't mind. She had enjoyed his company, and the restaurant he'd taken her to had been great. "I only spent the one day in Paris. The rest of the day I spent on the ship, getting things ready to go." She shrugged. It was her usual reclusive activity.

She didn't comment about Hawaii. She didn't really want to think about it. She wasn't happy about the job they might be doing. She was planning to stay on the ship and wait until they finished their little escapade. Jobs like these made it difficult to enjoy the different ports they ended up in. Unfortunately, she didn't realize that Alex was trying to make her smile and she only frowned at the prospect of going to Hawaii.

She realized, albeit a little late, that he had been trying to make her smile. She gave him a half hearted one, but she was brooding too much for it to be genuine. "So what are you up to?" She tried to change the subject, maybe it would lighten her mood a little to speak of something other than Hawaii. She turned her head to look at him.

He was a handsome kid. Longish brown hair and piercing eyes that couldn't decide if they wanted to be green or brown. Too bad he was eight years younger than her. She might have invited him to share some mutual sexual fulfillment, but she didn't particularly want to be ripped to shreds by whatever form his sister might take against her.

Alex smiled, and nodded as she talked. "Good, at least you didn't have a bad time, right?" He looked over at her, and smiled again. "Ah, at one of the stops we make we'll have to go out and find a club. Just so you can dance your worries away and not worry about being the Lieutenant for one night." He let the offer hang, if she wanted to he'd be more than happy to go out clubbing with her. He loved to dance, and it was his remedy to everything. In Hawaii he'd planned on finding a good club, and trying to coax a female into going with out him.

He watched her after he mentioned Hawaii, and didn't get a good vibe from the look on her face. Something was happening, or had happened to make Vivvy not fond of them stopping there. He wondered what it was, and just decided to let it be. There wasn't any reason in pushing her for information on something she probably didn't want to talk about.

Alex shook his head at her smile, and lifted a shoulder. "Staying out of trouble. Pulling a prank on my sister and Mag. Just really staying out of the way so I don't get tossed off the ship...while it's in the air. I don't think I would survive that..." He pursed his lips in thought as he looked back out and watched the rain fall for a moment. "I mean, how funny would it be to see a guy running through the air, back up to the ship mind you, just to try and slow down before he hit the ground?" He chuckled, and shook his head again.

He glanced over at her and raised a brow, "What about yourself? Other than being the Lieutenant, and making sure that everything is ship shape that is." He gave her a lopsided smile, and waited on her answer.

In all reality if Vivvy had asked him such a question he would've went with her without a moment's hesitation, with or without her using her powers. She was a knockout, in Alex's opinion, and in more ways than one. She was beautiful, smart, and calm enough to deal with the whole lot of them without killing anyone. Well, that he knew of. Besides, Alex did have a thing for older women, and that got him into trouble sometimes. Especially when he knew they'd only be staying in a port for a short amount of time. There had been a few times he'd been chased out of a woman's bed because her husband came home early. Of course, he'd been fortunate to have been born with his mutation, if he hadn't of been, it might've caused some problems. And really he didn't do it all that much, he wasn't much of a love 'em and leave 'em guy.

"Yeah, it could have been worse." She smirked slghtly back at him. She shook her head at his next statement, though. "I am so not a dancer. I couldn't be coordinated enough if you paid me. I wouldn't mind a little drinking, watching other people dance and listening to music. As long as I don't have to dance, I'm good." She clasped her hands behind her back as she leaned her shoulder against the door jamb.

She was glad when he didn't press the Hawaii issue. She knew that Nate was planning to put a list of duties up in the next little while. Maybe when people saw that she wasn't on the list they would stop talking to her about it.

She looked off into the rain, over the side of the ship and tried to imagine him running on the air back toward the ship if he ever got tossed off. She supposed someone would have to catch him first, though. "Ah, you'd probably get some kind of traction on the atmosphere at the rate your legs move. I mean... you could probably propel yourself around if you moved your arms fast enough."

"Oh, I was just watching the rain and hoping for a lightning strike. But, no such luck. I don't think it's going to happen in this drizzle." She shrugged and looked over at him. "What's this prank you've pulled on Mag and Nikita?"

Alex scoffed at her, and shook his head. "Oh please. I'm sure your dancing is just fine. Don't give me that load of crap." He smiled over at her, and shook his head still making a scoffing noise in the back of his throat.

"There'd have to be something, because God knows I'd never survive if I hit the ground. Running or not." He shook his head, pursing his lips in thought as he played that visual out in his mind. "Be interesting, and a neat trick to pull out don't you think?" Like he'd ever voluntarily go over the side of the ship.

He nodded, "Yeah, it's not stormed since we left. Which is a pity." He lifted a shoulder, and let out a small chuckle. "Nothing big. Just making them wonder where I'm at. I haven't seen either one of them in a while, just giving them enough space to wonder if I was left back in Paris or not." He turned giving her a wink.

Pushing himself from the door frame with his shoulder, he pulled a hand from his pocket and held it out to her. "Come on, Lieutenant. Show me that you can't dance." He smirked over at her, pulling his other hand from his pocket. "I promise that I won't laugh if you have two left feet, or if you aren't coordinated at all. I just want you to prove me wrong." His eyes danced with the smile that was on his young features. He was being honest with her, and wanted to see her let go a little. Nothing more. Besides, he enjoyed her company and wanted her to enjoy his.

"No, really. I dance horribly. I have two left feet and no rhythm whatsoever." She wrinkled her nose at him and grimaced, shaking her head. "Really, it's a little frightening." Reaching up, she scratched her neck and looked back out at the drizzling rain.

"I really don't think anyone would survive a fall like that, unless of course they could bounce." She smiled. "It would be pretty interesting to see what you could do, but maybe we should try it on solid ground first, huh?"

"It would be great if we could get another harvest in before the week was out." It wasn't as if they needed the money or anything, she just liked harvesting. It was her one love. She had never felt a reason to be committed to any person, but she was committed to the elements. Up in the ship, she was as close to them as she could get, and it was the reason she loved the ship so much.

"You really shouldn't worry your sister that way." Of course, she really had no room to talk. She hadn't spoken to her own brother in over ten years, and he had no idea where she was. She didn't know if he was worried about her or not, but she was still too upset with him to care.

She looked at his outstretched hand for a moment, debating with herself. Should she really embarass herself in front of him? Because if she was honest with herself, that's exactly what she would end up doing. She knew it was a bad idea, but she reached out and took his hand anyway. She walked out into the rain on the deck and stood with him. She bit her bottom lip and sighed. She didn't even know how to begin. She never danced, not on purpose anyway.

She started to shake her hips, but there was no method to the madness. She snapped her fingers, far out of rhythm with the movement of her hips. Her feet shuffled lightly, but it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing.

Alex had to have been from Missouri because he didn't believe anything until it was shown to him. He would argue over and over again with someone until they proved him wrong. It was part of his nature, and plus he'd never give up an opportunity to dance with a pretty lady, even if her dancing wasn't all that swell.

He chuckled, nodding a little. "Yeah, we should try that. Just to see what would happen. I think I could survive a fall like that if it didn't go as planned." Alex canted his head, listening to her with a smile. "Yeah, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a storm to brew up just for you." He lifted a shoulder and chuckled softly. "I doubt Nikita is worried. She's got this...sixth sense about her. She knows when I'm in trouble, and when she needs to get to me. I'm sure they've put together that I'm playing a prank."

He smiled as she took his hand, the light rain not really bothering him that much at all. He watched her as she began to move, eyes narrowing slightly as he just watched her for a moment. Even through the awkwardness of her movements, there was something sexy about her. It made her seem more touchable that something that was simple to him was hard for her. Then again, he didn't have half the balls that she did to deal with the shit she did. It was nice see her like this, in the rain, on the deck of the ship, dancing like no one was watching. But he was watching, he was watching her carefully.

Alex began humming softly, nothing in particular but just a pleasant sounding tune. He let her hand fall from his grasp, and moved behind her. Placing his hands on her hips, he stepped up close to Vivvy. Leaning down he murmured in her ear, "Dancing is like sex, best when you let go." He smiled, and began swaying his hips in time with hers as best he could. He moved a little closer to her, putting hardly any space between them. He ran his hands up her sides slowly, before running them back down to rest on her hips as he began humming softly again.

"Well, if she's not too worried, I suppose I'll stop giving you a hard time about it." She gave him a lopsided smile as he let go of her hand. She thought for a moment that he was embarrassed for her and wanted to move out of her line of sight so she wouldn't see him laughing. She felt a twinge of disappointment in him. She thought he was a nice guy. She also felt disappointment in herself because she cared about what he thought of her.

It was then that she felt his hands on her hips and the humming against her ear. She felt gentle shock at his touch and the swift change in her thinking. He hadn't been laughing at her, after all. She pulled her lips between her teeth and bit down gently. Her disappointment in herself stayed with her, however. She shook her head, angry. She really shouldn't have done this to begin with. She was showing her vulnerability and it was stupid. His words were starting to permeate her consciousness, though.

"Dancing is like sex, best when you let go." The problem with that was that she never let go during sex, either. She was clinical and scientific when she had sex. She really had no idea what he meant by let go. She couldn't relax during anything. His hands slid up her sides and she felt a twinge in her belly. She lifted her arms up slightly, but lowered them again when his hands moved back down to her hips. She closed her eyes and tipped her head back, rain splashing onto her face.

She licked her lips and sighed softly, allowing him to take control. For perhaps the first time in her life, she was giving someone else control. She didn't know why, but for now, she didn't want to be.

He let out a chuckle, "Yeah, she'll be fine, trust me." He smiled as she smiled, hips still moving slowly as he moved to the rhythm that she'd created. He was still humming, low, and next to her ear. He watched her tilt her head back, and in that moment he felt her let go, even if it was just a little bit.

He smirked, drawing himself flush against her. He guided her into a more steady, stable rhythm. Hands still placed on her hips, fingers splayed so that a few of his digits were resting on her upper thighs. Dancing in the drizzling rain, no music but the rhythm of their bodies. Did it get any better than this? No, Alex didn't think so. Even the threat of him getting chilled, and getting a cold was far from his mind as they danced. There was something incredibly sexy, and freeing about dancing in the rain. He relished in the feeling, and in the warmth of her against him.

Alex paused for a moment, moving around her and letting his hands slide as he moved until he stood in front of her. He gave her a crooked smile, stepping up closer to her, now resting one hand on her hip and the other on the small of her back. He started moving again, "See, much better isn't it? And you can dance, you just don't need to worry about what other people think." He gave her a wink, and continued dancing with her.

"So, is there a chance I could get you to go out dancing with me...sometime when you have time and want to?" He asked, smiling a little down at her. He removed his hand from her hip, reaching up to run his hand through his hair to slick it back out of his face.

Viv felt the lean hard body of the boy behind her draw up flush, so that it seemed each part of their bodies that could be touching, was. She wasn't sure if it was the rain, or the feel of a masculine form against her that caused her to shiver, and the gooseflesh to raise on her arms. She bit down on her lip as she felt his hands splay over her hips and gently graze her thighs. It was not something she'd ever done before, and it was a little frightening if she let herself think about it for too long.

As he moved around, she tilted her head up to look at him. He had a good five inches on her. She squinted as the rain splashed down on her upturned face. He pulled her close and settled his hands against her hip and lower back. "No, I can't dance alone. Someone has to guide me. I just don't have the rhythm." She whispered her answer, but she didn't know why. It wasn't as if there were too many others out on the deck tonight. Not in the rain. A few might have stood in the doorways or under awnings, but not out on the deck where they were.

"I don't know, Alex. I don't think I could do it if I knew there were people watching." As if to reassure herself that there weren't any now, she took a look around them. If anyone was watching, she couldn't see them and she let out a breath she'd been holding without realizing it. She looked back at him in time to see him run his hand through his wet hair. She realize then what she'd done, exposing both of them to the rain and cold, all because she was being stupid.

"We should get back inside and get dry before we contract the flu." She took a step back from him and looked up once more. "Thanks for dancing with me." It meant a lot to her, but she wasn't the kind of girl who said anything more than thank you.

Alex let out a soft sigh which could've really just been a small breath. He gave her a soft, and warm smile. "I was trying to give you a compliment, so take it and don't worry so much." He grinned down at her, watching her for a moment as she glanced around.

"I think that you could, with the right person of course, and that person would be me." He nodded his head, giving her his best winning smile this time. He blinked as she took a step back from him, and nodded.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, but don't we have to come in contact with germs first to get the flu?" He gave a nod, and lifted her hand to his lips to place a gentle kiss on the back of it. "Anytime, honestly." He gave her a wink, and stepped back into the archway and rolled his shoulders.

"I mean that, you know." He folded his arms across his chest and canted his head to the side. "Anytime you need to just relax, even if you don't want to dance, I don't mind hanging out and just...chillin." He gave her another smile, and lifted a shoulder. He loved making people feel good and he hoped that he'd made her feel good.
