Who:Nate and Pavla What:Dress shopping, Dining, Dancing, etc When:Day 2 Where:PARIS
Nate tried to sit still, but every bone in his body ached from his attempt at sleeping on his loveseat last night; wanting to keep his eye on Pavla (and honestly just wanting Pavla in his room), he offered her the use of his bed…and being a gentleman, he, of course, slept on the loveseat. At 6’3”, the loveseat bent his body into a ‘U’ and left his long legs dangling over the arm. So, while Pavla tried on designer dresses in the dressing room, Nate paced and stretched and did deep knee bends in his Armani suit.
The tall blond caught quite a few female eyes, both young and old, a few male too, as he strut back and forth along the dressing rooms. He was a living wet dream in his black Armani suit, lavender silk shirt and thin, black leather tie; he was buying Pavla some dresses and one would be fancy enough to go out dancing and dining.
He hoped that the dancing would work out some of the kinks in his back and legs before he had to crawl back on that loveseat tonight…hmmmm…maybe he wouldn’t have to…well, he wouldn’t push it…only if she offered freely.
They were going to cram everything they could into this one day in Paris, because yesterday they had spent the entire day on the ship. They had things to do…besides, Nate hadn’t minded keeping her mostly to himself and getting to know her…Pavla was a very interesting, very exotic and beautiful girl. The first thing that needed done, outside of his cabin, was introductions and the return of the stolen property. Just as he had predicted, his crew didn’t take it personally, as long as they got their property back. Then he had given Pavla a tour of the ship and a brief explanation of how their little group worked. She seemed thrilled at the whole concept…and for some reason, it thrilled him that she seemed thrilled…and did he actually let a giggle escape? Nah…the captain doesn’t giggle! They had eaten a pretty large meal in the galley and then back to his room for some more hot cocoa and some stories before bedtime.
They had eaten a quick breakfast of coffee and cakes so they could begin clothes shopping before lunch and then begin their day of fun. He swore that Pavla must have tried on 20 dresses so far…and to him, she looked beautiful in them all! Nate couldn’t find a color that didn’t flatter her so well that she put Aphrodite to shame.
Knocking on the dressing room door, Nate encouraged, “Come on, Luv! Tease me no longer! Show me the Wang!”. When a few tourists grinned at him, Nate snickered and added, “show me the “Vera Wang!”.
When Pavla twirled out of the dressing room, the tall man’s dark eye’s sparkled…he bit his full lower lip and then, after taking a breath, he informed her, “Very nice, Pavla. Peacock blue, violet and black…the colors look lovely on you…plenty of leg showing…I like the sheen, the draping…you intoxicate me”, he straightened a bit and smiled and corrected himself, “I mean, you will intoxicate men in that for sure, my dear!”.

Who: Serena and OTA Where: The Galley When: Day 2 What: Chillin'
Serena rarely left the ship. She needed to be available if there was a need for immediate take off. So, she had given her shopping list with specific instructions to a fellow crewman and asked if she wouldn't mind running a few more errands. She thanked her friend and watched her disappear down the gangplank. At times she felt constrained to the ship, but most of the time she wanted to stay onboard. The ship was her baby, and she hated to leave it in the care of others.
Since finishing her rounds and making sure the ship was fine and would be ready for take off, she didnt' have much to do. In fact, she found herself rather bored. She made her way to her room and changed out of the hideous coveralls she hated so much. Tossing them in the hamper, she riffled through her closet for something to wear. Nothing too flashy since she wouldn't be leaving the ship and really didn't have many people to impress. Her long fingers skimmed lightly over the various fabrics in varying shades as she mused over her outfit for the day.
Finally, she decided on a blood red silk shirt with cap sleeves and a cowl neck. She then donned a pair of straight legged black trousers and a pair of black ballet flats. She then stood before the mirror and parted her hair drastically to the side and smoothed it down to sweep across her brow before she twisted it up behind her head into an intricate maze of coils. And finally, she applied some basic makeup. When she was satisfied that she looked presentable, she headed for her jewelry box and pulled out a few black bracelets, a necklace of black glass beads in an array of strands and some earrings to match the necklace.
Finished, she stepped out of her room and locked the door. She was mindful since she'd been robbed. Of course, it had been given back to her the day before, but it still irked her somewhat. She was just glad she'd caught the little thief before she'd gotten away. She smiled as she remembered her part in the capture. Her stomach had started to rumble and she realized that although it was almost noon, she hadn't eaten anything since she'd woken this morning. Her footfalls were silent in the flats, unlike the clattering noises she made in heels, taking her toward the galley.
No one else was really in there, but in a few minutes they would probably all be there for lunch. That was, if they weren't out traipsing around Paris. Serena longed to go shopping, but today was their last day and who knew what might happen. She patted the wall of the galley as she walked in, reassuring herself and her baby that she wasn't going anywhere today. She found the table that was laden with perpetual grab-n-go foods and picked up a banana. Peeling the skin away to reveal the dense white meat of the fruit, she took a bite.
She noticed the bright new painting hanging on the far wall and tilted her head to peer at it more closely. It was a nice one, of a field of flowers. Very cheery. She smiled and sat down in a comfortably stuffed chair and admired the painting a little more before she set to work finishing the last of her banana.
