About:

KERNING is a layout community featuring RPG and easily customizable layouts. There will be a few tutorials, focusing on how to make small edits and changes to provided layouts. Please follow the rules and enjoy! Pass on the community if you like it!

RULES for taking:

0. OBEY THIS RULE: Beyond all others, please obey the rules in each maker's post. If they ask for comments, please do, if they ask for credit, do that too.

1. CREDIT: If there is a credit link in the layout do not remove it. If there is no credit link, please credit [info]kerning in your userinfo or stickypost. Not only because layouts take a lot of work, but also so that other people can find their way to this community.

2. HELP: Its up to each maker how much assistance they will give with their layouts, but other members will try and help as best as possible. Please post comments here as needed.

3. DEFINE A WEBSITE: Are your header picture or navigation links missing? Go to here and make sure you have a website in your userinfo. If you don't, they won't show up in most.

4. BE PATIENT AND COURTEOUS: This should be common sense, but please be patient with our makers. We have our own lives and sometimes code is a bit tricky. Also, we refuse the right to respond to anyone, especially if he or she is being rude. This is just a hobby we do, not our life.

5. REQUESTS: Unless a maker has said so, it is up to them and they'll probably be doing it on their own time. This is just a display community, not a requesting one, but you can look here for open request posts. Please respect maker's rules when it comes to requests as well.

RULES for posting:

1. CUTS: Please lj-cut any images larger than 200px.

2. CORRECTIONS: Make sure your overrides are right! Preview before you post to make sure.

3. CONTENT: Nothing obscene. This is an all-ages show.

4. MEMBERSHIP: Layouts need to be made available to the members of this community. Do not make people join your community to get the codes. Post your layouts to this community, not just fake cuts/links to your own journals. Don't lock the entries either.

5. FORMAT: Use this format at the top of each post:
