WHO: Mick Rory and Ray Palmer WHAT: The city is crawling with creatures and the two team up to do some patrolling. Oh, and Mick has his memories back and doesn't know how to tell Ray. WHEN: 11/14 During the Halloween Plot. WHERE: Out in the streets of the City. RATING: PG 13ish? STATUS: In progress.
He hadn't told Ray that he remembered yet. It felt like a strange conversation to have through text. Not to mention they had been pretty preoccupied talking about things that went bump in the night. Mick figuring it would probably be a better idea if they teamed up, seeing as Ray wasn't the only one worried about the other out on their own. So he text Ray with a spot to meet him at, getting to BBQ a few of the undead on the way over.
It had been a couple weeks now since Mick's return to Jurassic. His memory from his time there before having come back to him a little more each day. Always in bits and pieces, much like being blacked out drunk and remembering all the stupid things you did the night before. Only his were of another life entirely, or so it felt like. The truth serum being released when it did hadn't helped any. He hadn't known what to do with the information Ray had told him about them being together, nor did he know how to handle Len's prompted confession about being alive and feeling like a burden in his life.
It had all been a lot more than Mick was able to handle at the time. So he'd spent a few days getting reacquainted with the place. Which really just meant he'd spent the next few nights at the bar closest to his apartment. Eventually taking Ray's advice and spending some time with Len. He may have used Ashes as an excuse to check in on him, but if Snart noticed, he hadn't said so.
Though it wasn't until creatures of the night started invading the city's streets that Mick started remembering his time with Ray more clearly. Flashes of movie nights, and late night shenanigans flooding his mind until he had two sets of memories bouncing around in his head. The feelings attached to those memories were even more confusing. Mick remembered having them right before he'd been taken back to his timeline, or however this time pocket worked. He also remembered never having told Ray what he'd meant to him. Granted, talking about feelings had never really been Mick's style. After all, he'd just spent a good part of his life ignoring how he'd felt about the person closest to him, and then it had been too late. Even though this place had allowed him the chance to make things right, he didn't want to make that same mistake with Ray.
However, that didn't mean Mick had magically found the words he needed to explain all this to his friend. His more than friend. So when he saw Ray waiting for him near the park, Mick told him the best way he knew how. Walking up to him without so much as a hello before gripping at the back of his neck and crashing his lips firmly against Ray's. Not bothering to deepen the kiss, since Mick wasn't sure how welcomed the gesture would be. Pulling back after a few seconds, though still keeping his hand at the base of Ray's neck. His stoic expression breaking into the hint of a grin before finally speaking.
