Hey all!
Couple of things. First things first, Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you're all enjoying your holiday. Unfortunately, I am not blessed with a significant other so I'm spending it posting OOC posts in my games. Ha. No, but I had a good day and got flowers so its all good. Anywho.
I have been thinking about things. Mostly this game and how it's fairing activity wise. It appears as though our numbers are dwindling, and though I'm advertising, it doesn't look like anyone is really interested. Maybe Marauder's era games aren't really popular right now? I'm not sure.
Now, I understand real life, and rp life. Trust me. I do. I've got a job which I work 30 hours a week. I go to school every day M-F and manage to do my 2 hours of homework a night. On top of that, I have 15 chars between the 3 games I mod. That's an awful lot, if you ask me.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, this game has been suffering for a couple weeks now. I'm going to give it until the end of the month, or possibly sooner, if activity doesn't pick up.
I don't care if you drop one char to remain active with another. I'm thinking about dropping some of my useless inactive chars so I can be active with the others.
But, yeah. I will probably close the game if no one posts in the next week or so.
Sorry. I really don't want to do this. I love JK and the people here, but I just think we need to nab it in the bum before it gets dragged out too long.

Everybody say hi to Barty.
Barty: Hi, everybody.

Anyways. This is my 5th and last char. (Alissa, by the way) I swear to god. We just needed a Barty and I was losing my head trying to advertise for him, so here we are.
Its one in the morning and I worked all day, so bear with me on this crackhead intro. Pretty much, Barty is like a crack head with out the crack. If anyone's seen Across the Universe, hes almost exactly like his PB only.........Slytherin about it. He's sarcastic, cheeky, twitchy, makes people sort of awkward, funny, cordial when need be, and absolutely hates his father.
He thinks Voldemorts got the right idea. And he loves his mum to pieces. He'd die for her. (And she'd die for him. Har Har.)

So, my great-aunt is arriving today for a visit, and then tomorrow we're leaving to head down to Houston to go to the museum and see Lucy. We'll be coming back Saturday night, and then my great-aunt is leaving on Sunday afternoon, I believe. So, since I hardly ever get to see her, I will be elsewise occupied this weekend. I'll probably hop online at night once everyone else is in bed (except, obviously, Friday night), but otherwise I won't be around.

Hey everyone - Brooke here, with a new character! I'll be bringing you Orsino Thruston, resident drummer of the Weird Sisters.
He's a 5th year Ravenclaw (unless the mods don't let me change that, then he's a gryffindor). Orsino is pretty naive about how people are, and he's suspect of everyone He's socially awkward, so he's always worried that people don't like him. That said, he's extremely intelligent, even if his grades don't show for it - he could easily get perfect marks, but he's just not academically motivated, since his goal in life is to become a musician.
Orsino can play almost any instrument (he can play the piano, the guitar, and is learning the trumpet), but his true favorite instrument is the drumset. There's nothing better than banging on a drum to relieve all of your aggressions.
He's a very punctual guy, and he hates when others are not on time for things. He's also very anal about things being in order (maybe he's a bit OCD), which is why drumming is good for him, it let him keep order, at least musically.
I have this idea for Orsino to slowly be corrupted in the world of music. Maybe slowly gaining groupies or girls, someone slowly giving him drugs, etc. I want him to turn into a rock star type person, and then realize what he's been doing to himself.
Does anyone want to plot with Orsino? I obviously have some weird sister plottage to do, but anyone else? Friends, girls, enemies, etc? Let's plot!

Meet Sagittarius, Wilkes's twin sister. She's the practical, more conservative side to the twosome. A Slytherin, a badass, a nonconformist. Sage has a tendency to judge everyone, including people in her own house. Blood purity is a given, but to be quite honest, she's more prone to hate you for being an idiot than a Muggle-born. She's also experimenting with bisexuality.
Let me know if you'd like to plot! I'm a bit out of it, so I may expand on this later. My aim is Quixoticalness!

I really don't want to drop Molly, but I'm kind of extremely lacking in plot for her.
Just a reminder - she's a 7th year slytherin, eventually a beater on the Irish national team (she's just really good at quidditch in general - she's a chaser on Slytherin's team). Molly is pretty two-faced. She may seem sweet, but she knows how to manipulate people, especially boys, into doing what she wants. She'd likely use your character if they had something she wanted.
Does anyone want to plot with Molly? Past relationships/plottage? Something for the near future? I think she could be a really fun character to play and plot with, so let's think of something!

Heya everyone. Another newbie here. I go by Whitney and I bring to you my rendition of Dorcas Meadowes. She's in her 6th year at Gryffindor and has guts to boot. So, why, do you ask, that someone like her stands face to face with the Dark Lord and doesn't live to tell the tale? It had to be something big and given the time frame it was suggested that she was killed, I made a rather bold choice. Since Dorcas isn't really quiet or timid about who she is, it's rather well known that she has the Third Eye. Justification for that can be read in the application post, which I've left up. She's definitely an oddball and does her best work in astronomy, arithmancy and obviously, divination.
I'm up for any kind of scenes you can throw my way. Rivals, friends, taunts, I'm down for it all. I'll probably put together a more descriptive survey of her character up soon, if that will help anyone plot. As always, I'm usually online so feel free to grab me at laugh actually. I'm really excited about this game and can't wait to play with all of you!

Just a heads-up, y'all. Our house went on the market last night, so we could have as little as an hour's notice before someone comes to check out the house. This means that I could very well suddenly disappear, because when we get the hour's notice phone call, we need to spend that time running around, frantically putting clutter away, then vacating until they're done casing the joint checking the house out. On top of that, there's the stress from all of this, so I'll be distracted and such until, well ... for a while. I'm not hiatusing, because I need the distraction of RP, but I'm just warning y'all that I might disappear suddenly for a few hours or take a while to respond to a tag.
Please keep your fingers crossed that our house sells quickly.

I'm Erica, a new player, and I bring my first character -- Rosetta Quincy, better known as the future Mrs. Parkinson, mother of Pansy Parkinson.
She is a Slytherin 6th year, though tends to be a bit different than her peers. She's the Seeker for the Slytherin team, acquainted and friendly with everyone, but still rather a loner. She's the type to be admired by afar but not really close-kept by anyone.
She comes from a pureblooded family and her younger sister, Calla, is a fourth year Slytherin.
