His work expressed 'life-affirming values' - the Christmas Cottage painting used as the basis of this film is shown below. Jared plays Thomas Kinkade. [...] The movie is directed by Michael Campus and is currently being filmed here in Vancouver and in Whistler. The movie has a holiday release.

It was a veritable CW Network convention at Vancouver’s newest restaurant, The Shore Club last week, as Tom Welling (Smallville), Jared Padelicki (Supernatural) and Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) all dined together the same night. On yet another evening, actor Dule Hill, in town shooting his series Psych, was spotted at The Shore Club having a business dinner."

According to this site, Jared Padalecki will be a special guest at Creation Entertainment's "Salute to Supernatural, Smallville and Buffy/Angel" in Chicago coming November 10-11, 2007. Other special guests will be Nicholas Brendon (plays Xander Harris in BtVS), Samantha Ferris (plays Ellen Harvelle in SPN) and Fredric Lehne (plays the Yellow Eyed Demon in SPN).
