Who: Laura and Miles What: Falling off the wagon When: After this Where: Laura and Stephen's new flat Warnings: Mentions of Drug Use/Depression
It wasn't new that Laura had a problem getting home. First of all, she rarely had an idea of where she would end up at the end of the night, so it would be hard for her to get home. Second of all, there were times she had so much in her system, she wouldn't even know who she was anymore, let alone where her house was.
But it was never this bad. After almost 10 agonizing days of sobriety, Laura went on a binge and woke up unsure of what had happened, how much time had passed, and she was pretty sure she'd shagged a bloke, as her knickers were missing. Disappointment was as close as she could get to describing how she was feeling, though it didn't even come close to matching the magnitude of the shame she was feeling. After writing a note to Miles, she just sat in her barely furnished room and thought about what she wanted to do from there. Was it even worth trying again if she could fail so poorly?
