Kingdom Hearts (Luxord, Xigbar) [week 7, prompt 10]
Title: Two-Bit Thug Author: Laylah Rating: worksafe Word Count: 200 A/N: ...Look, everybody else in fandom gets to have cool shit under the eyepatch. Summary: He doesn't need to see who starts it to know it's Xigbar's fault.
The fight breaks out at the other end of the bar, while Luxord is fetching drinks. He doesn't need to see who starts it to know it's Xigbar's fault. Ever since they left the palace -- that gilded pile of camel shit, Xigbar called it, with more poetic flair than he usually displays -- he's been looking for an excuse to hit someone. Or be hit; Luxord's not sure.
Brawling has never been Luxord's style, even before he was his current self. It's his good fortune that his power makes it easy for him to avoid the chaos -- he always has time to sidestep a blow. Xigbar should be able to do likewise, leaving the places where punches should connect, but he doesn't; instead he lets those two-bit thugs hit him, and swings wildly in return. He could still likely best any two of them, but there are far more than that, and eventually he falls. Luxord sighs. He's going to have to intervene.
And then power flares on the air, rolls outward from the spot where Xigbar is rising. His eyepatch is gone; something sparks and crackles in the hollow socket beneath. "All right," he says, grinning. "Now let's party."
