Sometimes people ask me about my iconning style. They either love it or hate it, want to know how I manipulate images, etc. I don't mind these questions! I love them! But I was wondering what you guys think, because it's changed a lot since we first started back in '08. Our original stuff is still there to see, but most of it is washed out, super grainy, etc. compared to our newer things. Do you like this style? Zhang Ziyi is precious here, but, her hair is sort of hard to see, but her face is illuminated. Do you like that? Or do you prefer more neutral colourings? I've always wondered this, really. Anyway, just for anyone's who's curious, this is what before & afters generally look like:

So, a lot of work DOES go into them. But I wonder if it's for nought, if I should pull it back a little? Concrit is welcome on every post! Anyway, Ziyi is so pretty here it kills me. She has brown hair, BEAUTIFUL hair, and it's a softer look for her. LOVELOVELOVES IT.

I think your icons are gorgeous? I do prefer the 'before' picture to the 'after', but I'm sure some of that is personal taste; I feel that a lot of saturation wipes out balance and detail and can sometimes be hard to look at if my head is feeling sensitive. Just my two cents.

On a more on topic note, they are utterly lovely; she looks fabulous with bangs. Thank you for making!

	I absolutely agree, thank you for your input! I'm trying to fiddle with psds and find a gentle balance, but so far have been unsuccessful. I get one or the other. But she is beautiful, isn't she? And brunette! I love it! (Reply to this) (Parent)

	It's very interesting see icons of her looking this way. Most of the movies I've seen her in are So Srs that it's nice seeing look funny/weird/so not srs. Nice job! :) (Reply to this)
