What if governments around the world decided that research into the paranormal deserved military funding? The Allied Paranormal Society would be one possible result. They are a group of paranormal scientists trying to use the paranormal to create offensive and defensive weapons for their countries. Instead they recently created a portal machine known as the Threshhold that has begun pulling people from other realities. The APS has been using these people to former special force teams, but some of the beings have escaped and created teams of their own or went off on their own. The world is in complete chaos and it seems as though nothing can bring about the balance that is so desperately needed.
