The beta working with Rose inclined his head towards where the rest of their pack began to gather, to surround their alpha in a silent show of strength. She nodded and moved to follow, keeping a careful eye on the area from which the small group of scouts emerged a few moments later. Taken up with the rest of their clan, Rose eyed the approaching enemy carefully. She knew, so far, that no one had questioned Rhys too much about his decision to keep her among them, even with all the danger she might bring, but now that it was facing them down, would that change? How far would his pack go for a virtual stranger he'd brought amongst them?
The chamber of a bullet, that telltale click of a safety released, wasn't long on any of them. Heads lifted, taking in in the group before them, surveying the danger they might present. If she thought it would have solved anything, maybe kept them all safe, Rose would have stepped forward and handed herself over then. Surely a hellish life with Chris was worth knowing that Rhys was alive and safe somewhere - she'd become so attached to him in such little time...and she hadn't the right, really. He was married, after all....well, mated to Cassandra and she was obviously not a fan of Rose's presence.
"Let's see her then, big man," the blond at Marcus' side purred, raising that gun in her hand just slightly, just enough to be a threat. Before it went any further, before things even had the chance to get out of hand and hurt someone, Rose pushed her way forward through the pack for stand before them. Slowly, and seemingly from nowhere, she'd developed a certain iciness that came out in situations such as this, a somewhat faux confidence that seemed to keep her calm. It was present now in the raise of slender brows, as if to say 'here I am.' Effectively, she'd managed to place herself between the blond and the gun she'd almost trained on Rhys - nothing would happen to him if she could help it.
