Rose wasn't far off, maybe a few hundred feet away, barely visible across the space between them. Given her dark hair, her mocha skin, she tended to blend into the shadows easier then some. She was paired off with another member of the clan, a beta with whom she'd managed to establish some sort of trust over the time she'd been with them. Rhys couldn't train her himself, obviously, being the leader of all of them, but he'd found a suitable substitute. She didn't trust him completely, of course, but managed to do so enough to learn what it was that he had to teach.

The scent hit all of them at the same time, heads lifting to sniff the air, the very thing that had carried that trace of the enemy to them. She couldn't sense Chris himself, but it was his pack, surely sent out by him to try and wreak whatever havoc they could. That scent grew, became stronger and stronger in the area closest to Rose and her partner, discoveries tucked away so that hands were free to defend oneself, if necessary.

Her eyes lifted for a moment, unconsciously seeking out Rhys' even across the chunk of the park that separated them. Why was it that seeing him safe made her feel so much better? She glanced away before she lingered too long, before he could get in trouble with Cassandra for her actions. It was closer now...the enemy....the wind gave them away. Rose reached back to ensure that her gun was tucked at her back...something told her she was going to need it...
