I remember New Year Fete Week on Coruscant. We didn't really get to do much celebrating in the First Order, but I heard stories about the festivals and the light shows.

I have already mentioned all of this to Dr. Ludgren, but I thought -- I wondered if perhaps any of the rest of you have noticed something odd about Jarmoskowski? Have his eyes always been that colour? His back quite the arched? I don't know how to explain it exactly, but it does seem as though he's changing somehow.

I know we're all still trying to recover from the feelings of loss and hurt that arose over the course of the last experiment, and understand that there is still plenty to process, even beyond these trials. But I think we also have to talk about this in terms of the experiment we're all a part of. Because it's now quite clear they mean to make the stakes higher, and we cannot assume going forward that any deaths or injuries will be temporary - even though these appear to have been.

This has actually been ... really nice, though? I've had a lot of fun. I don't think I'll like leaving. Nobody died or I don't see why experiments should have to involve people getting scared out of their minds or baking in the sun or starving. I don't know what anyone can learn from that sort of thing - for me, I already took a years-long course in being terrified and not having any blasted thing, and I don't think I'll get any more out of taking it ever again. I don't think you can get anything out of it except how to be slightly less terrified and scrounge for whatever you can, and that doesn't make you a better person or give you anything worth having. It just makes you scared and mean.

Space is a cold, sterile place. I spent far too long in it. I had completely forgotten what it feels like to stand in the sun, clear debris from a field, or the pleasantness of how cool a patch of shaded grass seems to remain. I had forgotten that this was a feeling worth missing.

I've filled a few containers with berries and left them in rows by the entrance of the field. Young trainers, you should all feel free to help yourself.

I'm glad I ordered the skateboard. I've had a little practice, at least. On wheels. I like the jacket quite a It's sort of fun, isn't it? Speeder bikes were my go-to, back at home, but if we'd had more pavement - shoes with wheels probably would have been safer. Does everyone has shoes with wheels? Is that the thing?

I got this little sandbox thing, and it's meant to have rocks that come with it, and you rake around them to make shapes. It pretty - it reminds me of some of the wind deserts back home. It says it's supposed to help you focus, but I don't know how it would help you focus on anything but raking sand. Anyway, there's these little red rocks bugs in it, and I guess they were free. They're sweet. They'll climb right on your finger. I wonder what they eat.

I have to say, I'm finding this scenario far more enjoyable than the last two. A chance to sit back, relax, and watch most everyone I find distasteful disappear. It is a pity about Ren, I'll allow that much.
