As we're getting used to our new surroundings, I would like to take a moment to locate the children. Rooms appear to have been assigned without regards to guardianship. It is important to check that they were placed appropriately, and if relocation may be required. If you are a child, roomed with a child, or currently unable to find your child- please respond to this post. Hopefully we'll get things sorted out quickly.

Edit:
Found:
Kobik (Bruce Banner & Bucky Barnes)
Bruce
Laura (Alex Danvers)
Kira Manning
Steven

Edit 2:
Currently searching for an adult to check in with Steven and make sure his needs are met. He's a young boy without family or caretakers here.

There may possibly have been better ways to test if my powers still worked. But it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to LIVE, Harry.

So.

Does anyone know how to reattach a fingertip?

If I could have all of you check in, thank you. I'm located in 209.

I believe we have at least 3 who are with the Hotel block and who's rations are greatly reduced from the rest of us. I would like to rectify that.

You know, this whole 'turning off the Force' thing is getting really fucking tedious.

Edit (half an hour later): I think I'm starting to develop a kink for powerful redheads.

Edit (an hour later): Also, I'd like to point out some hypocrisy. I dismember someone who attacked me and the pitchforks come out. But an Avenger tortures me in the middle of a hotel lobby and no one bats an eye. Yeah, this fairness and equality thing is really going well.

Dr. McCoy, yes? Dr. Ian Malcolm. May I have a moment of your time?

First thing first: we're all here in London during a very turbulent time in history. As you all have noticed, we've been given ration books. They're not going to last, so we're going to have to work a little extra outside of what we've been given to make sure we all eat.

I'd go out and find work firstly. Some of them will not be able to give you money, but will be able to give you ration books. Some will give you money, and then you'll have to find black market places that sell ration books. Also of note: the ration books allow you to purchase said items, they're not free.

Normally, I'd be out there doing this myself, but considering my [...] appearance, I will have a lot harder time than most.

Is there anyone (or several people) who would be willing to look into the black market side of this while the rest of us try to do this the old fashioned way?

This place is kind of beautiful.

I know it must be hard for people who have to live this way all the time - and I know it isn't real, but there have been places like this, and people who either had no choice but to stay, or who made that sacrifice - but the way a city or a world can come together in the face of constant assault should be an inspiration to absolutely everyone. When the sky's raining fire, you help each other, no matter what the rules are, no matter what your qualms with one another may have been the day before. It's the kind of proof that makes you realize law and power and all that other stuff are only superficial layers we put on top of things to make it look like we're in control.

But we're not, not here, and not anywhere else. There are things that will always stay the same, and you can't reshape those, and - you shouldn't want to. Because when it comes down to times that matter, those things always show through, and they're amazing.

I'll admit, this place does have a certain charm to it, and a warzone always does feel a bit like home to me. As a matter of fact, everything about this is more comfortable than the last situation we were thrust into. I certainly have no complaints about the clothes this time around - they fit like an immaculately tailored glove. Better. Much better.

But I have this odd feeling that I'm about to have to put my very specific set of talents to good use. And I'm not talking about my dead aim marksmanship or my ability to make men cry with both hands tied behind my back.

So I realize we're kind of in the middle of drafting so don't have anything firm to base our action off.

But I think in a show of good faith and public interest we should look to have something of a town hall to share what know about survival in this particular era of British history, bomb safety and first aid, discussing food acquisition and preparation and tasks that people may be able to undertake to make our time here more facile and provide for Hotel block who was shorted on rations.

And, it has been pointed out, and this is meant to be kept somewhat close to the chest, that we may be playing a game of Clue with several specimens given roles of Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, and what have you. That has lead Ian Malcolm, Professor Plum, I suppose to surmise that there will be an attempt at one or more murders. He felt we should emphasize a sort of buddy system so to speak, preferably under a guise of wartime safety, not vigilance against being murdered.

Thoughts on the matter?

It's weird, I learned about WWII from my parents when I was a kid, learned the battles, the body counts, learned all about the Blitz. But it never really seemed real. It was, of course, a good four hundred years past, and our conflicts are a bit larger in scale between Earth, Mars, and the Belt, but there's a difference between reading statistics off a page and feeling the ground shake under your feet when a bomb hits the next block over. I didn't not respect the men and women who lived through this or died fighting, not before this, but I have a greater appreciation for what they went through now, and I've only been clearing rubble for about eight hours now.

I did earn an extra milk ticket from a man who was glad for the help, if anyone from Hotel would like it, particularly the children.

But I really didn't mean that I thought a field trip would be necessary.

A few of us went out to scout the area and look for food and other resources. Went south for a while until we crossed a bridge and then kept going. Kind of noticed that things were looking familiar and then we hit the hotel again. I'm pretty sure we didn't make a mistake, so... IDK what you want to do with that information.

Scott,
I've got a favour to ask. Well it's not really a favour for me, it's a favour for Xavier. But that's like a favour for me.
