Alright. I guess since Jules did her little thing, I might as well do mine. My name is Hialeah, or just Leah .. because it's easier. Like my roommate, I'm a transplant here in Seattle, though I'm not from Chicago. I'm from the great state of Florida and a small city called Ridgecrest. I've lived here for nearly six years though and as much as I miss the nice weather and my family, I love it here.

I work at Sawda Equestrian Center as a riding instructor. So if you're interested in riding (horses!), feel free to swing by and look me up.

Where does a name like 'Hialeah' come from, exactly?

It's Native American. I'm 3/4 Seminole. My parents were determined to use traditional names. It means 'upland prairie.' Not that that .. means anything.

That's cool. My parents were determined to name their children after professional athletes. I was named after Nolan Ryan.

Hiya, Leah!
Okay, I apologize. I couldn't help that one, but in my defense, I think you have a very beautiful name. It suits you.
That said, horseback riding is pretty cool, although I, myself, tend to prefer swimming in the ocean than staying on land.
And, what prompted the move up here, if you don't mind my asking? As a fellow transplant, I'm too curious for my own good.

Yeah .. thanks.
I wanted a change of scenery, I suppose.
You?

Me? I'm a fugitive from the law. Sort of. In a .. roundabout way .. I guess. Although I don't expect the law misses me very much, so no worries.

Anyway, just as forewarning, I might very well end up coming up for some riding sometime in the future.

How do you pronounce your first name?
