I'm Julienne, although I do answer to Jules too. I'm a transplant from grand ole Chicago, where I was born and raised. There really isn't anything too special about me, although I have two dogs, two kittens, one amazing job and one super amazing roommate, Leah.

My current favorite movie is P.S. I Love You, which I can't watch without two boxes of kleenex on hand. Color me sappy, alright?!

So what's everyone else's favorite movie?

Huh. How about .. Half past in your dreams?

Not a great idea, because the Julienne in my dreams is a little bit of a slut, and somehow lives with Heidi Klum.

The reality must be pretty disappointing then, hm?

I think Heidi Klum's married and I'm a fan of good girls, so I'll make do.

So, I haven't really seen a lot of movies lately .. but I used to watch 'Three Men and a Baby' like all the time.

We should totally have a girl's night in and pick a few movies to watch.

Hey Julienne's roommate,
Did she tell you she has a crush on some dorky politician guy? She's probably embarrassed to talk about it, but you should feel free to tease her all the time.

Honestly?! I don't even know the guy. I mean, I kind of sort of ran into him with my boss one night, and now he's all fantasizing about me and Heidi Klum.

Sorry to burst your bubble and everything, but she hasn't mentioned one word about any dorky or even non-dorky politician guys. Perhaps you're thinking about someone else's roommate?

Doubtful. She, along with most of the other women on this planet, has way better taste than that.

My favorite movie is Young Guns. I've seen it more times that I'll probably admit.

P.S. I Love You? Man, you didn't settle for sorta-sappy... you went full out.

Haha. Yeah, I guess I did. I see and hear about enough of the bad things in life, so when it comes to the movies, I like 'em happy. And if not happy, then at least true-love-y.

Young Guns, hm? I haven't seen it .. it kind of sounds like a Western movie. Which means I'm probably way off on that guess.

It's not a bad thing to sidestep life's nastyness. If feel-good fluff is what you like, then that's what you should watch. No use wasting your time on crap.

Actually, you're spot on. It is a Western movie. I suppose it is kind of weird, since people don't really watch Westerns anymore.

Well, I just think the point of movies is to disappear for a couple of hours. Live in the story, you know? So I don't always like to live in the murder mysteries .. although, I do have to admit that I'm a closet Horror fan, but none of this .. new horror bullshit that keeps popping up nowadays.

Great movie. I also liked Ben Affleck's recent film, Gone Baby Gone.

Anyway, I'm a counselor for DAWN, which is an advocacy group for battered women.
