Last week I had dinner at a restaurant that has now been shut down by the health department for failure to keep the rats out of the meat grinder. Ok -- I lied about the rats part. And the meat grinder part. Well, maybe. Wft is a meat grinder anyway? I don't know the details. I just know they got shut down ASAP. I'm looking into it. In the meantime you should probably get to know me if you don't already. You may not get another chance. Just this morning I woke up with puffy eyes and a itchy right ear -- tell tale signs of obvious rat meat poisoning according to several creditable website sources.
I'm Juliet btw and I tend to be a little dramatic.

Is it just me, or does it look like that guy's hand is eating my leg?
Howdy, everybody! Yes, you read that correctly. I said "howdy." My name's Jennifer Quinn, but my friends and family call me Jenni. I was born and raised in Texas (do you kind of get why I said, "howdy?" I swear I don't go around saying it all the time.) and I just moved out here to Seattle a few months ago to go to U of W (Is it bad that I almost typed out Dub-Ya?). I don't really know what else to say in this thing because this show on the Food Network is distracting me and I have a sudden craving for Dip 'N Dots.
Does anybody out there get easily distracted besides me? If so, what catches your attention? |

| Seattle police arrest a man in connection with the robbery of a convienence store. |

Police arrested Matthew Ryan Monday at his Seattle home in connection with the robbery of the Short Stop convenience store the previous night. Ryan was later connected to two other local robberies. Police said he matched descriptions of the suspect seen on surveillance videos from one of the robberies and other eye-witness accounts. Investigators say they found drugs and other items connected to the crimes in Ryan's home. Seattle resident and Quick Stop employee Orange Miller was shot during commission of the Sunday night incident. Manager, Nolan Nichols, was also on hand but was uninjured. Ryan is expected to plead guilty on all counts during his arraignment later this afternoon. |

I just wanted to take the time to remind everyone to vote on Tuesday. It's a hugely important election, and no matter whether you support Obama or McCain, you should let your voice be heard. And of course, while you're there, you might as well vote for me too, if you're so inclined.
I'm not going to give a big speech about why I'm better qualified in my race. Instead, I'm going to let a picture do the talking for me:

So, going back to school is the scariest thing in my life. I never really had the chance to do the college thing the normal way, right after high school. Well, I did. I started to, but sometimes there are things in life that have to be more important than an education. Like family. And sanity.

My name is Luka. I live on the second floor. I live upstairs from you. Yes, I think you've seen me before.
You ever get a song stuck in your head and then realize it's a really depressing song?
My name is actually Katarina, but most people call me Kat. I'm Italian-American. (No, I'm not a mob-princess. But I should be.) I'm an only child. (That means I'm spoiled.) I own a bakery downtown, Dolce Patisserie, and run it with my pastry chef Frankie. (It's short for Francois. He's 28 and he's from Lyon, France. He hates the name Frankie.)
In my free time, I like to do volunteer work. Currently I'm working with Children's Hospital, Operation Nightwatch, CASA, and Komen Puget Sound. To get on my soap box for a moment, I'd encourage everyone to find at least one cause that means something to them and volunteer even one afternoon a month. It's really satisfying.
I like the usual: food, contact sports, and singing karaoke. I will kick anyone's ass at American Idol Encore on my 360.
Oh. And I have three fiesty BFFs who should never be allowed out in public, but that's what makes them so loveable. We're practically livin' la vida Sex and the City. |

Alright. I guess since Jules did her little thing, I might as well do mine. My name is Hialeah, or just Leah .. because it's easier. Like my roommate, I'm a transplant here in Seattle, though I'm not from Chicago. I'm from the great state of Florida and a small city called Ridgecrest. I've lived here for nearly six years though and as much as I miss the nice weather and my family, I love it here.
I work at Sawda Equestrian Center as a riding instructor. So if you're interested in riding (horses!), feel free to swing by and look me up. |

I'm Julienne, although I do answer to Jules too. I'm a transplant from grand ole Chicago, where I was born and raised. There really isn't anything too special about me, although I have two dogs, two kittens, one amazing job and one super amazing roommate, Leah.
My current favorite movie is P.S. I Love You, which I can't watch without two boxes of kleenex on hand. Color me sappy, alright?!

I always hated doing these things, but what the hey! That's me there on the left. The name's Asher (my parents had a thing for strange names). I'm 33, if that means anything to anyone. The girl there on the right is my almost 9 year old daughter, Amity (apparently, so do I). I'm a single father and I just moved up here from Los Angeles where I lived my entire life for a job. I work in the hotel business and I definitely do not know my way around this place. So if anybody has any pointers, feel free to throw them my way. |

No, in all actuality, he's really just a fluff ball, but he likes to think otherwise. As for me, the name's Shaelyn. I'm a dive master (PADI certified) and instructor. Mostly I'll be teaching classes at the University, but in the spring/summer I'm hoping there will be an actual dive shop or two that I can connect with. I grew up in Los Angeles (which means almost nothing, except I've seen and probably done it all) and right now, I'm really just a fugitive from lust. That said, I don't bite, unless you beg me, and honestly? It'd be awesome to find some people my own age to talk to. |
