( You want to know the real reason I came over today? )

Percy squinted at himself in the dewy mirror and sighed - he was dried off and dressed and there was nothing left to do to stall going out to the living room and actually talking to his brother. George was here and Percy had no clue why, but was insanely curious as to the reasons behind it. Percy had tried to give George a lot of space, just apparating into his room after George had gone to bed and leaving from there. Not really trying to avoid him, but there were just things Percy didn't want to talk about and this was the easiest way to do it. His usual schedule after work consisted of a shower anyway, so that wasn't out of the ordinary, but there wasn't much more to do to put off what was going to happen.
He wiped his glasses off on the hem of his t-shirt and walked out into his bedroom, rolling down his jean legs (he always rolled them up in the bathroom, since he hated walking on wet heels) and sighed. Percy picked his kitten up and carried him into the kitchen, which was connected to the living room by a breakfast nook. He set Quaffle on the counter and gave him a pat before catching George's attention and gave him an awkward smile. It was interesting, trying to go about his normal life but feeling so awkward around his brother. He knew he shouldn't, since he'd lived with the twins for the better part of seventeen years, George knew he was human, but there was just something extremely intimate and vulnerable about doing simple things, like walking around his own flat while barefoot or having him see the pile of toys that he'd bought for his pets.
Percy pushed the thoughts to the side and cleared his throat, "You hungry then? It's nearly supper. I've got chicken I can make into kababs. I think the veggies are still good," he said to George before turning to pull some stuff out of the drawers and plates down from the cupboards.
