WHO: Astoria Greengrass & Marcus Flint.
WHERE: Marcus' Place.
WHEN: Saturday, November 12. Late Evening.
WHAT: Astoria sneaks out of Daphne & Clint's to pay Marcus a surprise visit.
RATING: To Be Determined.
STATUS: In progress.

Slipping her hand out of the shower, Astoria grabbed a towel and pulled it inside. She patted down her hair before wrapping it around her thin body and stepped out of the fog into the cold air. She shivered before exiting the room and going into her bedroom. She studied at herself in the mirror, frowning at her herself. She was so plain. Sometimes she wished she could be more interesting, prettier, edgier, something. But really, it was no use, she would always just be plain old Astoria.

Turning away from her reflection, Astoria looked around the guest room she was staying at. Daphne and Clint's place was lovely but she was beginning to think that she should just go home. It didn't seem like these terrible things would be stopping anytime soon and it was probably just better to go on with her life. She loved the place she lived in, and frankly she missed the privacy. She missed going out when she wanted to. In reality, she knew that she wouldn't be able to get very far without some resistance and it would be awhile until she got to actually go home. If she was able to find someone to take care of her other than Clint, then maybe. But she doubted he'd trust anyone but himself anyway.

She sat gently on her bed and began to braid her hair stopping for a moment to look at the time. It was late, Clint and Daphne had already retired to their room. She had this sudden urge to get out of the house. Her thoughts quickly diverted to Marcus. She hasn't seen him in awhile. In fact, she hadn't really seen him since he and Katie had broken up. It was strange that she wanted to be alone with him. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help it. And so, on a whim she decided to sneak out. She dressed herself quickly and threw a hat over her still wet hair. Charming on some make up, and smacking her lips in front of the mirror, she set herself to go.

Slowly opening her door, she looked out of the hallway and didn't see anyone. As the coast was clear, she quickly exited the flat and stepped outside. Apparating to the outside of Marcus' place, she made her way to his door being sure that no one was watching. As she approached the door, she realized that it would have been better to at least warn him that she was coming first. It was already too late though, so she knocked on the door and waited.

Alright. So she was probably entirely too nice of a person to kill anyone ever, but still. The thought was rather hysterical. Pulling the glass in her hand to her lips, Astoria took another large sip of wine and let her head fall back for a moment. She really needed some loosening up.

She brought her hand up to massage her own neck for a moment. "I'm sure you have better things to dream about, Marcus." After all, he could have had any woman he wanted. Pretty much everyone knew that, so why he even bothered talking to her, she didn't know. At one point in time, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Astoria was in love with Marcus- at least a little bit anyway. He was still a wonderful friend though, and insanely attractive as well. The inner artist desperately wanted to take pictures of him. Probably in the nude, but that would be highly inappropriate for both parties. Then again, that didn't stop them from crossing those lines before.

Astoria set her glass on the bar, before gently pulling out her braid and loosening her hair from it. Her hair, which was almost impossibly curly, fell around her her face softly. She looked a lot older when it was down like that.

She corrected him, "Some models are pretty to look at. Others simply look like they haven't eaten in weeks." Leaning against the bar she thought for a moment with her fist under her chin. "I don't know. Maybe some scenery. Or perhaps something that actually matters. I'd even love to photograph a quidditch player every once and awhile." This time, she winked at him and smiled again. "It's easy to get bored, I suppose."

"Better things to dream about than a beautiful girl thinking about me with something other than pity? Doubtful," he said with a small laugh. He'd always had a soft spot for Astoria. She'd been like a little sister to Clint, so he'd known her that way, but they'd never been close. Growing up there had been a rather noticeable age difference. But when he'd been with Clint while the Greengrasses had been around, he'd always preferred Astoria to Daphne. And then they'd gotten older and they'd become slightly closer friends, though it still hadn't been anything major. And then one day...things had just changed. They'd gotten much closer than they rightfully should have and luckily, they'd still managed to remain friends afterwards. But he'd felt infinitely more protective of the younger Greengrass since then. And where she'd only been his best friends baby sister for a while, she was actually her own person in his mind now. A very beautiful, smart, and talented adult that he actually enjoyed spending time with.

He watched as she pulled out her braid, enjoying the way her curls fell about her shoulders and face. She really was beautiful. She had this gentleness to her that he wasn't used to seeing in the girls that he was usually around. He hated to make the comparison, but where Katie had ended up being a jaded, broken, shell of a witch, Astoria was soft and innocent and full of life. And while he knew it wasn't like Katie had intended to be that way, it was still a nice change of pace for him to be around. Marcus had been close to crumbling on his own, and having Katie for company who was so much worse off just....it had been awful. He loved her, of course, but he couldn't keep going through that every day. Maybe if he spent time with more people like Astoria, he'd start feeling less broken.

"If you want to photograph something that matters, I recommend staying clear of Quidditch players," he said with a small laugh. Sure, people enjoyed them, but what was Quidditch, really? It was a useless sport that was only there to entertain people and give them something to focus on other than how awful their lives were. "We're all the same after a while anyway," he shrugged before taking a drink out of his glass. Quidditch players were all arrogant and self entitled and cared more about their physique than other people.
