Who: Ade and Emma.
When: After the Greengrass/Warrington Wedding.
Where: Emma's Apartment.
What: Some alone time.
Warnings: None.
Status: In Progress.

It had been a couple of very long days for him. First there was Clint's bachelor party that had involved far too much alcohol than his body had really been prepared for. Then there was the massive hangover the following morning that had taken even more out of him. Finally, there had been the wedding, which contain more a sense of worry and a certain feeling of happiness for both Daphne and Clint. He was pleased that everything had worked out for those two, but he'd been worried. Clint had looked like he was going to vomit that morning and it had taken a lot for him and Marcus to talk him through it. It wasn't that he didn't want to marry Daphne, because even to a stranger it was clear that Clint cared about her. Adrian figured it was more of the responsibility change that it signified. It wasn't just Clint he had to care for now. Of course, he could be wrong entirely, but that was the nature of the thing.

Glancing down at Emma, he gave her hand a light squeeze, their hands still linked from earlier. He'd been worried about her, as well. The opinions of Pureblood society had a certain habit of being roughly pushed onto others, particularly those that they didn't think worthy. He hadn't wanted her to feel any more out of place than she already might have. More importantly, he didn't want her to get some stupid idea that she shouldn't be spending time with him because she wasn't who he was suppose to be focusing his attention on. He knew what certain people expected of him and if he'd cared about that in the first place he wouldn't have started anything with Emma. It was his choice to make.

Having fulfilled their duties as members of the wedding party, the two of them had departed. Adrian was glad for it. He was exhausted, over all. He'd made sure his Mother was taking Victoria with her and then let Emma lead the way out. He was grateful for just a little piece and quiet; just the two of them.

There weren't many situations that made Emma uncomfortable. Actually, she was used to being ostracized as well as society events. It was a rather interesting dynamic for her. Highly desirable in one and scorned upon in the other. That was her life. She'd chosen to stay within magical society because she didn't quite feel as though she fit in with her muggle relatives. Nobody knew of her ability and it would remain that way. Still, Clint and Daphne's wedding had been a normal even she'd grown up with. Just- the disdainful looks from other guests regarding her blood status (which, she had no doubt had gotten out because of her involvement with Adrian) were the only things that were slightly different. Being in Slytherin house had helped her develop some rather thick skin.

Emma didn't mind. She'd grown used to it over the years and her desire to be much more involved in the ministry was another hurdle she'd overcome. It had changed, since Harry Potter had defeated Voldemort but in some of the older circles, she still wasn't quite accepted. But, Emma had plans and drive and ambition and she wouldn't let a few looks stand in her way.

Adrian had been a wonderful date and her time with him was always pleasant. The one situation she'd always been uncomfortable with (being alone with a man) had begun to ease up and she found that she was wanting a little more each time she was with him. His patience was remarkable and she appreciated it more than he knew. She gave him a small smile when he squeezed their hands and she opened the door to her flat, pulling him gently inside. "I'm just going to change out of this... awful dress," she said, hurrying upstairs and donning a pair of sweats and an overly large Falcons sweatshirt that Astoria had bought her.

She found him sitting on the sofa and she took a moment to stare at him. He looked tired and worn out. Frowning a bit, Emma sat next to him, more than content to curl up against him and enjoy the feel of him next to her. She rested her in the crook of his arm, one hand braced on his chest. "I've missed you," she said, softly.

He wouldn't exactly say that the dress was horrible. She looked lovely in it so it really wasn't that bad. He chuckled, however, and nodded as he watched her disappear up the stairs. When she was out of sight, he closed his eyes for a moment, letting his head lean back against the sofa. A part of him was relieved that Tori was heading back to the Manor tonight. It would give him a little bit more freedom when it came to seeing Emma, even if he did feel bad about keeping his sister at the hospital for over a week.

His thoughts continued to drift until he heard her footsteps echoing back down the stairs. He opened his eyes to the sight of her coming back into the room wearing the falcons sweater and couldn't help but smirk. "I wasn't aware that you were a fan," he teased, shifting his arm as she took the spot beside him and curled into him. His thumb brushed her shoulder as her body heat warmed him even further.

"I haven't gone anywhere," he murmured, his lips brushing her temple as he spoke. A part of him celebrated under the knowledge that she cared enough to miss him. It was nice to know that he wasn't the only one who had been affected by their brief acquaintance. It didn't make him feel so out of control, "but I've missed seeing you, as well." It didn't feel quite as long as it did for her. He couldn't remember most of the time he'd spend without her company, which left him feeling as though it had only been a few days instead of almost two weeks.

Emma smiled at his comment. She really wasn't a fan. Quidditch was violent and bloody and while she could understand why he liked it, well, Quidditch just wasn't something she was into. However, she did admit that she'd enjoyed watching him play and having Katie Bell explain the dynamics of the game to her. That had definitely helped. Sighing, Emma closed her eyes, more than content to just sit here with him and enjoy being next to Adrian. It was comforting and lovely and just wonderful. "Well," she said, stifling a yawn. "I'm not sure fan is the correct term but apparently when one is involved with a famous athlete, it's expected that you support their team. At least, that's what Astoria says."

His lips were soft against her temple and Emma was more than happy with where things were going with them. However, she was getting a bit nervous about the sexual exploration issue. It was coming up and would be happening. If she could get the nerve up. Still, it was nice to know that she wasn't nearly as repulsed as she'd once been and that was very good. She was getting over her issues. Albeit, slowly but there you have it. People couldn't change over night.

"You did," she said, softly, snuggling closer to him. It was, strange that it was something she'd do but she loved it. "You were gone an awfully long time. I'm so happy you're better." Pulling away, she looked up at him with a worried gaze. "I was worried."

Adrian snorted. That definitely sounded like something Astoria would say. "So long as you're not supporting Puddlemere, I really don't mind," he responded, amused. Okay, so maybe if she was a Puddlemere fan it wouldn't be a deal breaker, but still. He had enough issues with Bell and her Quidditch team without Emma being their biggest fan. "Though," he continued, "you could have just taken one of mine." Now that he mentioned it, he was pretty sure she still had the shirt of his she'd been wearing at Astoria's party.

He didn't think it very odd when she snuggled closer, he simply shifted his arm to allow her to move closer. She could get as close as she wanted. "Then you'll be rather pleased to know that I have no intentions of going very far in the near future." He suddenly felt the need to apologize for making her worry. It hadn't been his intention and even though there had been little he could do to prevent it, he still felt like he should.

"I didn't mean to worry you," he continued, glancing down at her when she looked up. Whether she was wearing an evening gown or the sweatshirt she currently had on, Ade could hardly take his eyes off of her. He was used to the sort of girls who knew they were beautiful. Emma, however, seemed to have missed that memo. She always seemed so surprised whenever he mentioned it and strangely enough, that just made her all the more attractive.

She had read a whole book on relationships. Clearly. She'd had to because she really didn't understand the nuances of what they were doing and she felt a little embarrassed about asking anyone about them. But, she hadn't quite realized they were at the sharing clothing stage. Of course, she still had his shirt from Astoria's house in Italy and occasionally donned it when she was working. It reminded her of him and she had most certainly missed him while he'd been incapacitated. Sighing, Emma looked up, happy with his words. "I know you didn't," she said, reaching up, moving her thumb over her cheek. She leaned forward, lightly brushing her lips over his cheek. "But I'm certainly glad you're better."

Emma stared at him for a moment, her eyes flickering to his lips, feeling a bit out of sorts with the whole thing. She wanted to kiss him but he was tired and clearly weak and she wasn't sure if that was at all appropriate. Instead, she gave him a steady smile and another soft kiss on the cheek.

"You should try to not get ill," she said, nodding, seriously. She was heading off to Holland next week. Worrying her lip, playing with the ends of her hair, she looked at him, eyes a bit wide. Then, of course, there was the Duke's birthday party. She did need a date to that but was a bit worried about asking him. "I have a birthday party to attend...it's a very large to-do in the Muggle world. The Duke of Devonshire is turning Merlin knows how old and it's expected I attend." She tucked her hair behind her ear. "You wouldn't happen to mind coming with me, would you?"

This wasn't so much a learning experience just for her. He couldn't lie, he definitely wanted to spend the time to teach her absolutely everything in time, but a part of him was learning as well. He never really knew what to expect from her. When she kissed his cheek, his first reaction was to lean in and kiss her properly, but he held back, instead watching her as her eyes flicked to his lips and back.

"I'll try not to," he chuckled, moving his arm to wrap around her waist rather than her shoulders, providing his arm a slightly better angle at which to rest. He raised an eyebrow when she asked if he wanted to attend the event with her. A Muggle birthday party? His first instinct was to say no. He knew a bit about the Muggle aristocracy in Britain, but he wasn't as familiar with it or it's workings as he was with the Magical counterpart.

Ultimately, it was the way she worried her lip that decided him. "Sure." This would either open up some possibilities in regards to his own business or possible close some of the ones he already had opened. Some of the older clients would certainly not be impressed with the association. Of course, if he wanted to look at it properly, he was going to get some back lash from seeing Emma, herself. If he was willing to accept that than he had to be willing to accept it all. "I'd love to."

Emma settled against him, feeling guilty that she'd asked him to go to a Muggle event. "I promise it's not all that different from a Pureblood event. There's just... a bit of bowing and curtseying and the like. I don't have to stay long but I have to represent my father since he can't make it and the cousin who's supposed to inherit the title... well, unless father gets better and has a son, well, he's a bit of a buffoon and I have to sort of pave the way to get him a little better acquainted with the Aristocracy." Emma sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose. She hated her cousin. He was stupid and just- he made the family look awful. Sighing, Emma rested her head against his shoulder. She wasn't really looking forward to the event. Scrutiny and the like was never fun.

Emma was quiet for a moment, thinking about what it was that appealed to her about him. It wasn't the fame or the looks because honestly? That didn't matter to her. He was the only man who'd ever given her the time and didn't force her into anything she didn't want. Turning to look at him, head tilted slightly to the side... Emma, leaned in and brushed her lips lightly over his.

"Thank you," she said, softly against his lips. Emma wasn't sure what she was doing most of the time but she was just sort of going with whatever it was she felt like. And right now? Right now she felt like snogging him. Her hands came up and gently cupped his face. She hesitated for a moment before leaning in and kissing him, softly.

He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about the bowing. He didn't bow to anyway. He hadn't even bowed to his Father. It wasn't exactly a protocol when concerning the familial or societal hierarchy. One simply had to remember their place and act accordingly. For the most part, Pureblood families were on the same basic level with few exceptions. The Weasley's, for instance, weren't highly valued members of Pureblood society because of their actions and lack of family wealth. They weren't the only ones. The Lovegoods and Longbottoms weren't exactly on the invite list either, but again had been caused by the actions of the family.

"Sounds like a real winner," he commented dryly. He couldn't imagine having to smooth the way for someone to surpass him. It was like setting up an strong business bass and then letting your younger brother run it. It just went against everything he'd been taught. Of course, if something happened to him his Mother would be given control until Victoria became of age. Unlike Emma, she wouldn't be bypassed. There were some distant cousins on his Father's side that might challenge her, but they were barely worth the mention.

When she thanked him, he offered her a light smile. It really wasn't that big of a deal. If worse come to worse than he wasn't known within the Muggle Aristocracy and, therefore, it's opinions didn't really matter in the long run. He'd been about to respond to her when she kissed him again and any desire to respond immediately left. He was tired, definitely, but there was nothing he'd rather be doing. Her hesitation made him smile. He raised a hand, his fingers tangling in her hair as he returned her kiss. Since that time they were interrupted at the Greengrass beach house, he hadn't tried to further anything, letting her take it as she wanted to. He was curious, however, to know where she stood in that regard. Neither of them really talked about the physical aspect of their relationship. Adrian hadn't wanted to make her uncomfortable and had just let her do as she pleased, never pushing her.

Making a decision, he parted his lips just enough to run his tongue over her bottom lip teasingly, testing the waters between them.

She wasn't sure what to do. They hadn't discussed her aversion to most physical things but lately? Lately she'd been really interested in a lot of it and that was rather scary as it was. Emma shivered a bit and she wasn't sure if it was because of nerves or desire. The idea that it might be desire sort of scared her. Adrian's lips parted and she felt the gently, teasing caress of his tongue. She wanted to be... disgusted by all of it but she just couldn't find it in her. This was supposed to be yucky and gross and she found that it sent chill bumps over her skin and she couldn't help but sigh against his lips. Her tongue darted out, hesitantly, lips parting, touching his gently. It was strange and weird.

Emma's hand braced against his chest, returning his kiss. Merlin. It felt... nice and lovely and she liked it. How on earth was she supposed to keep up her guard when he so easily brought it down? She could feel the muscles under his chest and she felt tingly at the thought. "Adrian..." she whispered, against his lips, pulling back just a bit. Her heart was pounding and the nervousness shooting through her had her shivering. He completely surrounded her and filled her senses and she didn't know what to do about that.

The ache in her body was just... it was foreign and strange and she didn't know how to deal with it. Well, she sort of did but she was fairly certain she wasn't quite ready for that step with him but she did know that she didn't want to be without him and that having him next to her was just amazing.

He nearly grinned mid kiss when he felt her respond to him, their tongues brushing softly and causing a new level of desire to rise within him. He was going to have to learn how to push the feeling back down until they were ready for that sort of thing. But Merlin, it was going to be difficult if she kept kissing him like that. Her close proximately probably wasn't helping much in that regard, either.

He could feel her tremble slightly and he was just as confused as her about whether she was scared or excited. He figured it might be a little bit of both. His eyes met hers when she pulled away, though they flickered to her lips when she whispered his name. She really needed to stop saying it like that, at least for his own sanity. It was hard enough to control himself as it was without her whispering like that.

"Emma," he stated simply, responding to the murmuring of his name. There wasn't a whole lot that she had to say. He had the distinct feeling that the two of them were having similar thoughts. Brushing his lips over hers once more, he let them move into something that wasn't so easy for him to get lost in. Trailing over her delicate jawline first, his lips moved soft curve of her neck, leaving light kisses on the warm skin as his hand moved from her hair to rest lightly against the opposite side of her neck, caressing the skin softly.
