"Even if the phone rang for that...I would be happy," Addie said quietly with a small smile. If the phone rang it meant the communications were working again and after that who knew what could be possible. Electricity again? Plumping? It was too much wishful thinking, but one girl could dream.
"Nice to me you Harvey," she gave him a genuine smile and held out her hand to him. "And Addie is short for Adelaide," Addie explained. "It's a good name I won't take any crap about it," she added quickly with a playful tone. "I prefer Addie, though."
Addie's jaw dropped a little at the fine ass remark, but she really didn't think much about it. "You must have fantastic eye sight," Addie said in a slightly mocking tone. "You saw my fine ass and I've been sitting all this time," she joked and let out a chuckle. She shook her head a little and took another sip of the beer.
"I've been here for a couple years now," she went on. "Stayed in some other places before, though. This isn't so bad but I don't plan on staying here forever. How about you?" Addie asked. "Are you just passing by?"
