im so sorry! my internet is all over the place :(
Vivian understood the simplest words of French, but it took some time for her to remember what even the smallest of words meant. When he swayed back towards English, she smiled a little. Perhaps he was used to having French encounters. There were people from all over. Maybe he was used to having family around. My, she was thinking a but too much, wasn't she? "Stupid question, but I suppose France is your native place?" He could have been French Canadian, but their language was considered a bit more messy compared to the elegance that was the French language. Either or was pleasant on the ears.
There were so many faces Vivian had yet to see. So far, her encounters weren't memorable, but mostly pleasant. Her travels allowed her to introduce herself but she didn't see any long term interaction. It was almost as if she were touring safehouses to find the one that seemed to be perfect for her. But she doubted she'd be able to stay in one place, the curiosity getting the best of her. "I think this is only my second time here," she admitted. "I tend to stay for a few days once I arrive at a safehouse."
She shook his hand gingerly, a true smile forming on her lips. "I'm Vivian. It's a pleasure to meet you. It's not always often where I meet someone who says something other than excuse me."
