Elliot sincerely hoped this party wouldn't end in a row, with angry folk determined to tear down the decorations and shout that they were being fools for wanting something "normal."
"I'm not a praying man, but I wouldn't be against anything that could raise morale," he spoke up defensively. "Whoever put this whole thing together obviously had that in mind, so if you don't want to enjoy it, you don't have to." As he walked alongside the Negative Nancies that seemed intent on the same destination, Elliot began to wonder if a certain blonde immune had anything to do with this get-together. She'd spoke of it the year they'd met, but until now there hadn't been a call for it.
