"Ellie," said Eloise. She leaned forward to look into the bag, then shook her head. "My name is Ellie. What's yours?"
It still felt strange, to be making exchanges like this. How many times had she said those words in the past few days? When would it start to feel normal? Maybe it'd make more sense to exchange numbers, or feelings.
"I haven't been here for very long," she confessed after a moment. "I'm just -- observant."
There was a shrug, and Ellie stepped backward, gesturing for the woman to follow her. "It's pretty easy to go unnoticed here. I... I guess you've seen that for yourself."
