George and Ollie
The talent show had ended. It had been years since she'd done any form of a solo but after thirty seconds she'd relaxed. The nerves in her stomach from worries that she wasn't capable of doing this forgotten as she settled into the routine. The audience had clapped so despite an early stumble George figured they had enjoyed it. But she did have fun. That was all that really mattered in the end. If anything that Rae girl finding dresses was a blessed miracle. Not only did she find her dress for the evening but one that could work while she danced.
She’d since changed back into her party dress and had a glass of punch in hand. She was still hovering near the snack table. She wanted to go back out there and dance but her feet were objecting in painful ways just at the thought of going back out there in six inch heels. She had half a mind to take them off and dump them in the trash, it wasn’t like she was going to have much use for them in the future anyway. And it was a party dancing was sort of expected.
Still she remained out of the fray nibbling on a few crackers she had in her hand. Her previous conversation no longer around for George to yack at. She turned to one of the people coming up to grab something to snack on and asked for the time. It had to be getting close to midnight right?
