Re: Mike & Kori
Kori's night had been going pretty well. She'd gotten a little more dolled up compared to the Christmas party. It probably had something to do with the fact that a lot of the kids she watched had other plans for the night. She could get away with something a little less than her usual long sleeved tee and jeans. And not having to chase them around meant she could pull out the skirt that had been sitting at the bottom of her bag since God knew when.
But then the talent show had started and her night just went down hill from there. Especially when Michael got up on stage. Yeah that had been her cue to find something a little harder to drink than the bottle of water she'd been carrying around. She sort of got why he'd picked that song exactly but to actually perform it? She should have expected it sure but all she really wanted to do was sigh and shake her head. Instead she found a bottle of tequila and found a nice spot to sit down with it.
The first shot was actually the hardest to get to down; she'd never really been one for tequila but then at least she knew how hard it was going to hit her. She was definitely going to regret this choice in the morning but if it made this moment the slightest bit more bearable she'd take the consequences. So she played a game every time a line contained a euphemism she took a shot. Unfortunately the whole song was a bunch of very poorly veiled euphemisms.
Went without saying she'd ingested quite a bit of alcohol by the time the song was over. And considering she hadn't really purposely drank this much in years she was feeling the effects fairly quickly so she slowed down with the lack of ridiculous euphemisms to cause her to drink.
It was only after she was well and truly tipsy (which was being extremely nice at that point) that Kori stopped drinking. She was feeling pretty giggly and she wanted to dance and she was pretty sure Michael was hovering at the edge of the dance floor and well why not. She was pretty sure that she was mad at him but for the life of her she couldn't remember why at the moment so she didn't really think it was that important. Walking (more like stumbling) over she put her hands over his eyes from behind and leaned into him, "Guess who?" She asked giggling.
