Re: O'Brien, Leah?, Open
He certainly hadn't expected her to show up after what she said over the intranet the night before. But as always-- even in times that he probably shouldn't have been, he was hopeful. And could you really worry about the things that people said behind the protection of a computer screen? Well, they still hurt sometimes, so yeah. Maybe.
He was so busy messing with the camera, that he hadn't even noticed her walk up and stop beside him. If he had been paying attention and watching, he would have, but he'd decided not to worry about watching for her, since he imagined that it would only make him more anxious and nervous, and even more disappointed when she didn't show up.
So it was a pleasant surprise when he heard the familiar voice speak up beside him. Lowering the camera a bit, he glanced over to her, offering a small smile when he saw her. Gorgeous as always. And yet, completely off limits, considering he didn't want a broken nose. He nodded, and dropped his focus back to the camera, "it's better. Still hurts a little," he shrugged, "but you pack a mean punch, and I deserved it."
He reached back to rub at the back of his head, and lifted his eyes back up to her, "how are you?" He dropped his arm back down to motion to her, "did you ever get around to decking that jackass from last night?"
