Yeah. That didn't get old. Rae smirked a little as she made her way back from the infirmary, straightening her skirt. That was probably the closest she and Eli would ever get to enacting the whole exhibitionism thing they'd talked about the day they'd gotten together, but that was fine. Besides, the little romp in one of the empty infirmary rooms had been fun. A lot of fun, even if it had taken a little less time than she'd wanted to spend with him. He had a job to do, and she understood that. She hadn't walked away without a promise that they'd spend the entire next day in their spot, though.
When she got back, the smug smile only grew. She could hear Allie's voice, far more humbled than she expected but still seeming happy, and David? Well... she'd only known him for a couple of months but she liked to think that she'd figured him out and the smile that he wore on his face right then was genuine. She'd done a good thing that day; given the two of them a kindred spirit to talk to when they'd otherwise be alone.
The mention of “call me anytime” proved her point, too. She smoothed a hand through her hair to straighten it out and fixed the uneven buttons on her t-shirt, before making her presence known to David.
Once she got her computer back, she laughed a little bit and bit her lip. “A lady never kisses and tells, Alliepie,” she wiggled her eyebrows. “But... I will tell that a little bit more than kissing went on,” she added. She heard David making a little gagging sound in the background and laughed. “Sorry, Daveycakes. You had to know it was happening, though.”
David snorted a laugh. “Doesn't mean I wanted to think about it, Rae,” he mused with a roll of his eyes as he gathered a book from his bag.
“So,” Rae turned her attention back to Allie, getting comfortable in her spot again. “What do you think of our little ghost scholar?” she asked, leaning back against the wall. “Little sweetie pie, isn't he?”
