Leah showed up, and in lieu of a greeting (which Evan didn't expect, but honestly would have preferred in this case), she started right in with the questions. Evan was good with words; they were one of his fortes and having the right words, the right response, evade him like this was a foreign concept. How did he say that Internet Guy had been partially responsible for the way the world was?
The guy had been dubbed a hero because of the communications system he'd created, and deep down, he had this terrible, horrifying secret. All along, he'd been there when it began. He could have stopped it from happening.
He looked up at Leah, his expression quite obviously one of surprise and a bit of horror. "I... don't even know how to tell you," he started casually. "I can't even think of the words." For their hate for each other, he knew that at the very least, Leah could admit that he was good with words. So for him to be so completely and utterly flabbergasted and at a total loss for words, she had to know already that this was something big. "Here. Read for yourself," he murmured, passing the computer over to her and then looking down at the floor in front of him, still trying to come to grips with it all.
"But bear in mind that for this rebellion thing to work? We need him alive..." he added, before she started reading.
