Who: George & OPEN. What: George needs her butt saved. When: 12/9, midday. Where: Some alleyway a ways away from Grand Central. Rating: TBD. Status: In progress.
Like most things that get George into trouble the idea was born from a lack of any better options. Sure she could read a book but she wanted to move. But she felt a little odd dancing after last time. Gathering her bottle of water and sneaking some food into her bag from the pantry she make sure she had her multi-tool in her pocket before making her way to the exit of Grand Central.
The guards didn’t even blink an eye as she slipped outside. It sort of rankled her that they couldn’t be bothered to care if a non-immune just walked right out. Well the laughs more than anything else. Most of them were all too aware of what happened the last time she’d gone out beyond the station. It took everything in her not turn one of the entitled pricks at the door and shoving them out there first.
Shouldering her backpack like it didn’t matter she headed up the street picking a direction at random. She didn’t have to worry about the undead immediately. Actually she was several blocks away when she came across a group of shufflers. Wanting to avoid them George turned and headed down another street where she came face to face with several infected animals.
Her only option was run and they chased.
She didn’t keep track of where she was turning and eventually George found herself in a dead end with a pack of infected animals and a runner on her tail. This was a great plan. Really it was fabulous going outside when she wasn’t exactly equipped to take care of herself. She could thank Evan for all of this.
Glancing around, spying a pipe lying on the ground and grabbed it up. She would hide but there wasn’t any time. She was so screwed.
Fingers tightening around the pipe she took a deep breath. Here goes nothing. She swung the pipe feeling it connect with something she looked just in time to see one of the animals fall down for a few seconds before getting up again and lunging at her.
“Help!” She shouted swinging the pipe at another one of the infected and catching the running across the chest.
