"Oh..." Dillon was quiet for a moment, thinking about exactly what she was asking. "Yeah, I was going to say that it might be a little crowded if you added another person in here, and I bet that your brother wouldn't appreciate that too much, either." Wasn't it a little early to just live together, anyway? They didn't really even have a definition yet, so it was... it was a little early to be talking like that, wasn't it? Not that Dillon was against it... he just thought he was the only one around here who got so head-over-heels in situations like this. "But that other option... I can't say I'm against it..." he shrugged and looked at the floor, then the wall. Anything but at her, really. This conversation was awkward.
As she explained why Lucas was the way he was, Dillon nodded quietly. "I know. You've told me that before, and I think my sister has too, but that doesn't make it easier." It was hard to put a label of 'boyfriend and girlfriend' on them when her brother seemed to hate him so much. He didn't say much more than that, because the last thing he wanted was to upset her by bad-talking her brother. "It'll be okay. Maybe he'll get over it eventually, right?" He had to hold on to hope for that, at least.
He laughed. "A pod person?" he asked her with a little grin. "Well, we wouldn't want you to be a pod person, so I guess it's a damn good thing we balance each other out, isn't it?" He smirked a little bit and scratched the back of his head. "I don't know it for sure, either. But since we have free reign back there, it can't hurt to peek through and find out, right?" He held the door until she got through, and stepped outside with her. "I'm always formal," he mused with a little grin.
The cooking went reasonably well, without any noticeable snags, and they made their way to the rooftop of April's building. He smiled as he looked around, putting his mini-telescope together. "It's a perfect night for this," he mused softly, with a nod as he made the final couple of twists. "Why don't I set the food out while you peek around for some constellations?"
