Ledger continued to stare the adults down as he waited for them to reach him, his brown eyes unamused with how slow he thought they were being. If it was at all in question as to whether or not the three year old could look serious, that question was answered in this moment. Although as his mama and Noah drew closer, his serious expression crumbled into a much happier one.
Vienna laughed softly at Noah’s words. “Yes we are, and beware he’s got an Albrecht’s temper,” by now she knew that he was well aware of what an Albrecht’s temper looked like, although it was less intimidating on a three year old.
When they reached the playground and Noah split away from her and went for the swing, she smiled softly as Ledger trailed behind him and watched in awe as he swung on the swing while still standing. Her first urge was to tell her son not to repeat the action, but when the three year old made no attempt to mimic it, she decided not to say anything and instead settled in, taking a seat on the grassy area near the swings. “Monkey see, monkey do,” Vienna did finally call out, just as a reminder that Ledger was impressionable, but that was the last she would say about any of it as the two most important guys in her life continued to swing and get to know each other.
