Oh, yeah... children were strangely literal most of the time. Noah sometimes forgot that, since he hadn't really spent time around any in ages. He looked up in an exaggerated fashion when Ledger pointed and said, "Yep, it's still there."
This was going to be fine. Noah hadn't been that concerned about it, because to him it wasn't a major deal. Even if Vienna's child had been a brat-- and he didn't seem to be, just from what Noah had seen of him-- he would've done his best to get along for the times when the three of them were together. The fact that Ledger seemed reasonably well-behaved was a bonus.
Bea-Bea. That still made Noah snicker, although he kept in inward this time. He'd have to tweak Bea about that again the next time he saw her. "Yeah, wouldn't miss it," he said blithely, although he wasn't sure if he would've gone or not if Vienna hadn't wanted to. Things like that usually depended on his mood at the time.
He grinned at Vienna when she kissed his cheek and tried to think of a way to dissuade Ledger. It would seem kind of random to play laser tag with just the three of them. Looking around, he had his answer. "Well, looks like they're getting ready for the party," he said. "Someone might get mad at us if we tried to play laser tag around that. Maybe we could do that another time."
