Bouncing on the balls of his feet, Ledger grinned up at Noah when he asked him what was up. “The sky,” the little boy answered as if that was obvious, not entirely grasping what the man had actually meant. “See?” Ledger pointed up towards the sky with one little hand as he spoke.
Laughing softly at her son’s reply, Vienna felt the tension in her chest loosen as Ledger and Noah began interacting. Maybe she was just being stupid for worrying about this at all. If Noah had been against the whole kid thing he would have left her when he had the chance, and Ledger, well, he got along with just about anyone. So she would stop worrying, everything was going to be just fine.
“Good, because I dunno where Ty is or Bea-Bea, so I’d be all alone,” it was a simple and straightforward answer; spoke in away that only a child could speak it. “Are you gunno go to the party?” Ledger switched gears quickly and he was still kind of bouncing like a barely contained spring. The idea of a party had him excited, plus he got to dress up as Spiderman, which was kind of all kinds of awesome.
Ledger’s eyes lit up at Noah’s question and he barely missed a beat in replying. “LASER TAG!”
Vienna smothered a laugh at her son’s loudly exclaimed desire to play laser tag. “Sorry, he’s been playing with some of the older kids and now he’s addicted,” she explained as she moved in closer to Noah, standing on tip toe to press a quick kiss to his cheek – keeping things g-rated for the sake of her son. “You can suggest something else if you want to.” She added in a whisper, her gaze flicking to Ledger who was still looking up at the both of them expectantly.
