"What are we going out to get?" He asked. He only had the one bag, and it was full of more important things that he couldn't leave behind. "Should we bring something else to carry it back in?"
Brennan was actually glad to have something to do. He had come here to check for his brother and bring some supplies back to the island, so he could certain siphon some of what they found to bring back with him. In it's basest form though, he was glad not to be idle. When he wasn't preoccupied with patrolling or organizing something, he had too much time to think about things he didn't really want to think about. He wasn't a fan of feeling like he wasn't doing his share, and often over-extended himself, which is probably why he's more quick to snap at people, seeing as he was stressed and over-worked. But it's a self-made Hell and he was going to live in it just fine.
"Alright. I'm ready now. Is there anything you need to get before we leave?" He asked, wondering if she was going to go out unarmed, but by this time she was already walking ahead of him towards the entrance and he followed. He almost smiled when she suddenly fell back to walk in tandem with him; it was like her mind was going through a list of social cues, but was delayed in sending the information out. It sort of reminded him of how he used to act before the outbreak turned him into more of an asshole than just a socially-awkward architect. "You're welcome."
The streets were empty and he looked up to see the overcast, hoping that it wasn't going to start snowing. He was just thankful that there wasn't enough to build up on the streets; snow made noise and the quieter they could be, the safer they would be.
"I lived here for a long time." He answered, halting in position. He scanned the horizon, and smiled inwardly for a second. "I worked in that building," he added, indicating the building in question, arguably one of his favorite buildings in the entire city for it's view. "Where are we headed? I might be able to help you." He stated as well, wondering if she was confused as to where they were headed.
