Armed with a bag, and a knife, all she had managed to hold onto and scrounge up since making it from the mall alive. It felt like ages ago, and really it was. But it felt even longer she supposed since she had been running since. Not settling down, not spending much time with people. Who would blame her really? After the people that made her stay, it doesn't make you exactly open to the idea of bunking down. Though she knew she needed to find a safe house, she was getting tired and that meant you would be come stupid. Perfect time for the undead to make you join their ranks. That was not something she wanted to do. After hearing talk, whispers, and urban legend tales, Lola had decided to check out if Sing Sing actually existed. It wasn't government controlled from the rumours, and while the idea of heading to a government facility to find her father was appealing, she wasn't so sure she would be given the freedom to leave. Plus, she had yet to find her parents and looking for them would mean leaving New York, not something she was ready or alert enough to do right now. Her father would have found her already if he was going to, but she tried not to think that way too often. Lola had no idea what awaited her. All she knew was she couldn't handle living in fear, by herself, or half nights of sleep anymore. She heard of the immune, but she wasn't about ready to test that theory. She took her first step towards to the doors of Sing Sing, wondering if someone was watching her and if they would even let her in. |
