WHO: Brandon and Silas
WHERE: Outside the security office
WHAT: Bro fight.
WHEN: November 11, 2019; Late Evening
RATING:Medium, most definitely
It just felt like one whirlwind after another lately. Mike dying, rebuilding the wall, then Rae having EJ. Sure, at least one of those things had been a good thing, but still, it was like Silas couldn’t get his bearings anymore. Couldn’t even wrap his head around some of it long enough to really deal. He knew he should, if the way Rae kept trying to get him to talk about it was any indication, but it wasn’t as easy as that. And yeah, he knew he kept saying that too. It wasn’t an excuse, not really.
Then there was the shit that was going on with Brandon. It was like losing both his best friends in the span of a couple of weeks. It was fucking stupid. He was almost relieved when he caught on to the way Bea was scheduling the security shifts so that he and Brandon saw as little of each other as possible.
Probably that was because Bea was concerned something was going to go down if the two of them had to spend an extended period of time dealing with each other. He knew Rae worried about that too. Hell, it was probably more than just the two of them that were waiting to see what would happen. He might not be dealing with things the way he should, but he wasn’t stupid, he knew what it looked and felt like when people were walking on eggshells.
There were probably bets being taken too.
The worst of it was, after yesterday’s text conversation he didn’t know what he’d do to Brandon if they were stuck near each other. He was tired as fuck of the shit that Brandon kept saying, of the things that he was holding against Silas. Like missing Mike’s memorial. It sucked that he’d missed it, but given the situation, what else was he supposed to do? Leave Rae on the roof? Get someone else to take her to the infirmary? No, what he’d done had felt like the right thing to do.
Now all he wanted to do was drop his radio in the office and head back to his place for the rest of the night. Try and catch up on some sleep.
