Sebastian smiled, but only a bit. His mind migrated towards wondering if Devin was immune. If not, he feared that one day he would see his swaying body pollute the streets. But he was strong and if immune, he sure as shit would be hard to kill. He was a solid rock and Sebastian just wanted someone who was in his life to be alive. "Trust me, I'm just as easy to kill as a non immune. I'm not the battle sort of fellow."
He was careful not to be reckless while he laughed at Evan. "We all make mistakes. The fact that you even planned on helping out is admirable. Rumor is that some immune refused to be here. The more help, the better and if you're immune, you should offer something to the table. Even if it's something minuscule. The point is, you helped out. It's better than saying "fuck it" and sitting on your ass." It somewhat angered him when people with such admirable abilities that were immune decided to do nothing.
"It's a rare thing. Not many people can say they fell on their own blade while trying to fight off zombies. Really, I haven't heard that one yet so your dilemma is quite unique." There was so much more he wanted to talk about. Not only how the man wasn't a failure because of his fall, but he also wanted to know if the stranger was protecting his family. Family...what a horrid thing to discuss so he had better keep his mouth shut.
He handed Evan a water bottle with two pain killers and made a hand motion to just chug it and get it over with. The water was slightly humid, but hopefully tolerable. "You'll feel nice and loopy in no time."
He stitched Evan's wound like it was a delicate art. He scanned his brain to find something to talk about while he slowly stitched up the wound. "Did you reside here?"
