Allie smiled, warming to the conversation. There was nothing like a good debate to get the blood flowing, but then, it was also a nice feeling knowing someone agreed with you, no matter how reluctant that agreement was. For some reason, she got the feeling that George was the type of person who liked going against the grain, disagreeing just for the sake of being disagreeable. People like that were difficult, but the challenge was worth it. Whatever answer the other girl gave her, it gave Allie a sense of accomplishment. At least George was talking to her.
She couldn't help but chuckle when George expressed her curiosity. Any other person might have blushed and ducked their head, but not Allie. She saw no shame in sexual desires. "I was just going to ask if you were waiting your turn in the closet," she replied honestly. "Goodness knows we all need a release now and then. There's no shame in it."
That was all the indication Allie needed that she'd guessed the correct name. Rumpelstiltskin indeed. Her smirk was smug. "Can't say I've ever met anyone with that name before, but there's always a first time for everything. I like it. Georgette suits you."
She hadn't placed a vote for whoever was running the show, either. Allie bit her lip, contemplating. Her eyes found George's face again when the other girl proclaimed her refusal to go along with a law that dictated reproduction. "I'm with you on that," she said quietly. "It'd put a lot more people at risk, not just the women carrying the babies. Everyone would be fighting to keep those women alive, to keep them safe and healthy. I can just see so many more people dying because of that..."
