WHO: Luke & George. WHAT: Scouting out the bowling alley. WHERE: Ossining. WHEN: June 23rd, afternoon. RATING: Medium ..? STATUS: In progress.
Ossining wasn't so bad.
Luke and George had barely had any trouble at all wandering the streets in their special supply search. It was true that maybe -- just maybe -- their perception of danger had been somewhat skewed by growing up in a zombie apocalypse. Still, the truth stood: it was a beautiful day, they'd never had to let go of eachother's hands, and it turned out Ossining had two bowling alleys.
It was easy enough to pry their way into the first one using Luke's bat.
The noise was not appreciated -- a metallic crash that seemed to resonate down the street -- but after wandering inside, the silence was deafening. Luke knew enough to wait and listen anyway, but after a minute he grew too impatient. The alley was full of stuff. Bowling stuff, yeah, but...
"George," he whispered, tugging at her arm. "Wow."
The building was totally empty, left un-looted and pristine: totally what he'd pictured in his best case scenario imaginings. (Apart from a few cobwebs and a lot of dust, anyway.) Suddenly excited -- which was a welcome change -- Luke took George in his arms and kissed her with playful exaggeration.
"Let's go," he mumbled, pushing a lock of hair behind her ear. Then it was off to go mess with everything.
