With a small smile, Ollie pulled himself back up to his feet and brushed the dust from the dirty floor off of the back of his pants. "Well, Ellie," he started casually, "thank you, too. For making me see things in a different light." At least for today, anyway. Who knew what trouble he'd get back into tomorrow.
He pushed his hands into his pockets, completely satisfied with walking away from this particular thievery attempt more full-minded than full-handed. And it was one of the first times he could genuinely say that.
"I should probably go." It was embarrassing to admit that he'd come this way more to see what he could steal than for anything else, but he had and he couldn't really change it now. "But I meant what I said. If you need anything, just let me know."
