Clearly. Eloise had gotten used to people saying things they didn't entirely mean. That was one of the base rules, when interacting with people -- that they liked for things to be easy, and often said the easy thing. It was nice when it turned out someone didn't follow the rules, however. She'd noticed that it correlated positively with survival skills.
