The vulnerability was unexpected. Most people who liked to put off the "spitfire" vibe really didn't like to show moments of weakness so Ollie took this very seriously. He tilted his head to the side, watching her expression morph from sadness, to the telltale glint of memory to something else and he felt that same pang of sympathy that he'd been feeling more and more often lately. He wasn't a coldhearted thief, no, and he wasn't going to become that. Not now, not ever.
And just like that, the mood shifted back to the way it was before.
Ollie chuckled and shrugged a shoulder. "To be more choosy with my targets? Sure," he said with a wry smirk. The day he gave up his lifestyle was the day that he died, and since he didn't plan on dying anytime soon, well… it'd be quite some time until that happened. He shrugged. "I'm sorry that I took something valuable, but that doesn't mean that I'm done snagging things all together. Don't worry though, you're off the list now."
