She sat there on the floor glaring at him not even bothering to dignify his question with a response. Her eyes going quickly to his hands once she was still. In less than a heartbeat her face drained of both anger and color. The necklace was gone and she frantically scanned the floor around them for a shimmer of metal. It couldn't be gone she would never forgive herself if it was gone because she left the necklace unattended in her bag. Never. "Where is it?" The words coming out a little like she was about to have a breakdown, if that wasn't a clear enough sign that the necklace meant a lot to her he would never understand.
"You don't have any idea how important it is to me...to my family," the last few words mumbled under her breath as she stared at her knees before looking back up at the thief. Her expression clearly showing that George blamed him for wherever the necklace disappeared to. If he hadn't taken it none of this would have happened and she wouldn't be sitting there trying to figure out how the hell she was going to explain to her brothers in six months that she'd lost their mother's necklace.
