1. My username is ______ because ______: amor_remanet; Well, back at the end of ninth grade, when I got my first livejournal, I'd been using Duanya as an online alias (still seen in my email address) and various forms of Sailor Moon-themed silliness as backups. Duanya came from a D&D character who got shot in the face and died; the Sailor Moon stuff was just me being an obsessive fan-nerd. Anyway, when I got to LJ, I wanted to do something ~different~ and ~new~… so I put my four years of Latin class to work and made up a Latin username. It translates to "love remains," which I thought was being Poignant And Cool… and then it just stuck and I'm too attached to change it.

2. My name is _____ because ______: "Kassie: a wild tl;dr monster" because, for ages, it was "Kassie, guardian angel of emo angsty boys" courtesy of something sherlock said on some snaps cup meme (I think it was a snaps cup meme anyway?) a while back, and as much as I loved that name, I thought a change was worthwhile. Also, I talk too much.

3. My journal is titled ____ because ____: "no, not the young people. they shall be spared." This is one of my favorite lines from the translation of Strindberg's The Ghost Sonata I read for Theatre History in my freshman year. Mostly, it's because I just really liked that line. Likewise, the subtitle is, "it could be worse! we could be stuck in the audience!" from one of my favorite lines in Muppet Treasure Island. (Statler and Waldorf are the figureheads on the bow of the ship. They're discussing how much it sucks to be stuck on said bow.)

4. My default userpic is ____ because ____: Linus and his blue blanket in A Charlie Brown Christmas, forlornly staring at the fail-tree. Because it's seasonal and I've been sort of feeling like the fail-tree lately.

It's with a sad heart that we announce the closing of Gateway. We still love you guys and we thank you, sincerely, for playing in the game. We enjoyed having you here.

This is nobody's fault. We just feel that the time for the game has passed, even though we adore the plot idea. We tried to revive it, but it just doesn't seem to be the right time for the game. Too many factors are working against it to really get it to the place it needs to be to fully function.

We have talked about that maybe in the future, we could restructure a bit and revive it. It's a possibility. If you'd like to keep in touch, let us know and if it happens, we'll try to let you know.

PREMISE & SETTING
the world & their story.

OUR DIVINITY is a private, yaoi role-play based loosely off greek mythology, sachiyo sawauchi’s tenshinchigi, and kazuya minekura’s saiyuki: gaiden.*

this idea is that it's a group of gods who never knew (much) about one another other than by their own divinity. they soon find their fates entangled when they're parents resign and pass on their duties to them. they eventually become friends, lovers, and enemies due to these connections. it's all about love, laughter, sadness, and growing up as they learn about themselves and the world around them.

this role-play takes place on an island that floats above the clouds. the island, elysium, can be seen by all but only visited by divine beings. it is covered by open green fields, thick forests, sharp mountain ranges, scorching deserts, deep lakes (salt or fresh), and even a volcano (euripides). its two seas, the cocytus and the acheron, are on either side of the island and undersea creatures can be seen swimming within the clear waters.

eve, the kingdom of the gods, resembles saiyuki: gaiden's heaven and have mansions connected to a main house.




*don't have to be familiar with series. they are just to help designate the setting but not overall play and characters.

Worldstones is meant to be a small group storyline. It is not going to have a large cast, and since a big part of the beginning of the game is going to have the Chosen alone or with a very limited interaction base, we will be relying heavily on NPC interaction at first. You are highly, highly encouraged to add some NPC icons to your journal to hop into open threads in areas where there wouldn't be much interaction otherwise.

NPCs don't require an application; if you're in the game, we either know you win at life, or we liked your application enough to give you a shot at not being a douche and trust you to handle an NPC or four.

NPCs can be anyone from barkeeps to slaves to other travelers to merchants to nobles to guards. Have fun with it.

In a Kingdom where magic has been banned and mages have been driven underground to practice their art in secret, in a world where power hungry wizards created powerful artifacts that slipped out of their control, five Chosen and their Companions must race against devious Foxes to recover the stones that can rift worlds.

Carion and Abrax have been burdened with the task of gathering the other Chosen together to begin the quest to find the stones. Dogging their trail are Danni’s Foxes, just as eager – if not more so – to find the stones. The difference is … the Chosen want to destroy the stones to keep their world safe. Danni wants the stones to invade other worlds and realities, to rule them all.
