Who: Eve and Tyler
What: Eveline is given a twenty page essay to complete, and Tyler overhears her discussing buying a ready made test and must decide what to do with this information.
When: Thursday, April 7th (backdated)
Where: Araboth Common Room
Rating: SFW

Eveline could not believe how much homework she got for over the break. She was a dedicated student, very likely the most dedicated in her class, and even she thought the workload was a little overboard. It was as the professors had never been students and didn't realize how integral lazy breaks were to the mental health of teenagers. She had a twenty page paper. Due in a week. How was that even possible? That was practically a doctoral dissertation.

In an act very uncharacteristic of typical behavior, Eve decided she needed to vent about this particular assignment. Rather than holing herself up in her room and busting this particular paper out, Eveline took a seat on the edge of a couch in the common room. It wasn't long before a casual friend made his way by and had a seat next to her, engaging Eveline almost immediately.

"Do you have a lot of homework?" she asked curiously, which was clearly a set up for her premeditated rant. "I was a given a twenty page essay." Eveline nodded her head sadly at the boys shock. "I know, I think I'll just buy a premade paper and make the edits." Her tone was sardonic, but it was her face which truly brought the sentiment home. She was exasperated. How could anyone really allow someone else to write the paper for them?

Bloody hell, he was not looking forward to the impending Spring break. He had been hearing the excited chatter left and right as it drew closer. For everyone else, it might have been an opportunity to visit family or travel around to fun and exotic places; for him, it was an entirely different matter. Tyler didn't have the luxury of traveling since he was dirt poor. He usually spent his vacation either in Idris or back at home. To say the least, he preferred the former, but he did not have the fortune to do that this break. He didn't want anyone (especially his friends) to be suspicious about the real relationship he had with his mum. Since it would obviously be weird for him to skip out on Spring when he had already done so for Winter, he was forced to return back to the one place he hated the most. He supposed it wouldn't hurt, especially since it'd only be for a week.

As he quietly shut the door to his dorm room, the halfling made his way out towards the common room, hoping to find a friend to speak with; someone who he could strike up a conversation that wouldn't lead to the looming vacation. Or at least a person who'd share his grievances. Stepping into the comfortable living area, he noticed Eveline was talking to a friend of hers on the couch. He was about to open his mouth to greet her, when he unintentionally heard the words coming from her. Interesting. He never would have taken her for the type to be so crafty, but he guess he couldn't blame her. If it came to him, given the choice of toiling over a twenty paged essay or asking someone to just do it in his place, he'd pick the latter. It unfortunately required a price and he certainly didn't have the means to waste any of his money.

As it was, Ty had completely missed the sarcasm from her tone and he wasn't precisely raised to know what was appropriate or not, so he did the only thing he knew how to do – approach the situation and collect data. Don't get him wrong. He wasn't being nosy. Actually, his interest was piqued and he wouldn't exactly mind having connections to a person who'd be willing to scrap up a twenty paged essay. “You don't mind sharing information about where to find this bloke with me, do you, mate?” His voice was full of good humor, already sitting on the arm of the upholstery.
